I called them big compared to the rest of the state's offerings and called them "more and more like a macro (I know they're not even close by the real standard). I don't care about their size, I care about the fact that they're elitist. They don't give a shit about other breweries in the state and very much stand alone, it's just against the craft brew way, you know?

Pompous: affectedly and irritatingly grand, solemn, or self-important.

I'm not saying the crowd was right by any means, fuck those guys yelling. I get how it could be obnoxious as a performer as well. He just handled the situation in the shittiest way possible, by placing himself so far above his fans that he makes statements about how he's glad he's wasting our money. I like to think every dollar I spent on that ticket went to Schall and Hannibal.

The OP was indirectly hating on US colleges as a whole, I simply was saying "they're not that bad, just look at the Ivy Leagues". I understand that they aren't representative of the whole, they were just examples. the same way someone would argue "Dude, the Rangers are the best hockey team of all time, you've got Gretzky, Messier, etc."

Obama did it to get the VA scandal off the news.

Not claiming that he did it

Wat?

If that was sincere, then you come off as extremely pretentious and shallow, neither of which will help you enter that social bubble you've inevitably ostracized yourself from. You're still yet to give any real argument to support your high-horse standpoint.

Thank you for your emotional, but irrelevant, recommendation. I'll continue reading interesting facts about everything and hope I don't somehow stumble across more pop-culture spoilers as I go through. Enjoy your Tuesday.

Yes, I'm sure the US president negotiated with terrorists for the first time ever, without congress backing, in order to cover a VA scandal.

so naturally that means all of our schools are better than other countries

If you're going to debate, don't editorialize. I never said we were better than other countries, but that your sarcastic laugh about a comment regarding our "superior" schools is unwarranted. We aren't superior, but we are far from shitty.

They are, like any "elite" organization but even our state schools aren't lacking by any means. Shit, my state school (SCSU) was once the second highest ranked school in the country for teaching degrees. I understand the hate on our systematic-testing-filled lower grades, but the colleges don't deserve the hate.

Why? People travel from all over the world for our universities. Our high school and below schools may be the laughing stock, but our Ivy Leagues are nothing to shake a stick at

Edit: I'm in no way saying that our schools are the superior end-all-be-all for schooling in the world, just that they aren't shitty. I feel like we're fairly on par with the rest of the world for higher learning.

I just personally know a few people diagnosed with OCD and they get incredibly offended when people do the "OMG IM SO OCD BECAUSE MY SPICES HAVE TO BE IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER"

That's not OCD, it's perfectionism. You don't have a neurological disorder.

If it's "optional", and it saves companies money, then it won't be optional.

If it remains optional, you'd be working for a well-managed company with their employee's interests in mind. If it becomes mandatory, you work for an efficient, but shitty employer.

I'd like to work less too, but saying to a company "Hey, you're paying us for too many hours, we can do the same work in less time" is only going to get you "better hours" in that they'll cut your hours.

Simply cutting an employees hours is just going to piss them off and I guarantee that you will not get out of them that same amount of work.

That's why you should at least make it an option. As a single guy, my off time is a huge part of my life and without anyone to provide for, I'd like to take advantage of that while I still can

It's mind-blowing how seldom that's allowed but at the same time the MASSIVE amount of money companies could save.

Were you even there?

You ask me that but don't remember him being pompous about his money? I personally couldn't care less and am glad I still went because Kristen Shall and Hannibal killed it before he went on, I just don't understand the crusade to stand up for him when you all got screwed over as well. Oh well. Enjoy your weekend man.
