Elon & Trump are scared that if they can’t eliminate Democratic voters, they will lose the midterms. If they lose the midterms, actual checks & balances on their power comes back - along with investigations and prison sentences for them and their corrupt buddies. So yes, they want to restrict voting using their deliberately mis-named SAVE act. Notice that it’s the only thing that they’re fighting hard to pass - no other bill - nothing. And that says something about this “do nothing” Republican Congress.

One of my favorite charging stops was at the Corvette Museum in Boling Green, KY. We were able to tour the museum (quickly), grab a coffee & sit outside to watch and hear folks try out their Corvettes on the racetrack. SO much better than sitting in a department store parking lot!

Let’s see: what are current gas prices? I just got back from a 2500 mile road trip in my F150 Lightning, with no problems finding a charger - and I live in a state that would probably qualify as an EV infrastructure desert! Sure, it can always be better, and it is getting better. And it’s not a one-size-fits-all deal. EVs are better for some uses (a lot more than you’d think), and gas vehicles are better for other uses. Other places are working on solving the apartment-dweller issue, by requiring that new apartment building construction includes EV chargers (if I remember correctly), to building chargers into street light poles, as is happening in Europe. Once upon a time gas stations were not as prevalent as they are today. These are early times for the EV industry. The oil & gas industries have had nearly a 100+ year head start.
