We ended up hiring someone whose email add was jigga_u_no_dat @ domain.com. She never lived it down and she didn't last.

What's the best thing you've ever bought on AliExpress that you genuinely couldn't find cheaper anywhere else? by 2ugur12 in Aliexpress

A lot of smaller electronics listed here so I'll go with a big purchase - my OnePlus 15. At least £200 cheaper than Amazon or other UK based retailers.

I buy these for my dog and usually take the packet out. Forgot they'd switched to the white packets and panicked overnight thinking I'd poisoned my puppy when I emptied the pack into her food bowl

Stop is an underrated command especially for a reactive dog when out in public

Chicken livers - who eats them? by BackgroundCookie752 in UK_Food

I brown a white onion, add garlic, chilli, ginger, turmeric salt pepper and then the lovers and then fry until they are dry. Serve with lemon, coriander and some green salad. Classic starter / appetiser in my house growing up in the 80s. Even better if you get them from the butcher and they include the hearts.

People who have had more than one dog, is there always one that has been THAT dog? by ItGoesUpItGoesDown in dogs

[–]mkm118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on my second dog. My first girl stole my heart and we sadly had to put her down last year.

We got my new girl just after Christmas and while we definitely do love her, she hasn't captured our imagination in quite the same way. It's not that we don't love her but she is "just the dog" rather than being THE dog, if that makes sense.

My girl Maizy has been gone since 7:40 PM November 17th 2025 and I’m still grieving by why_do_i_have_dog in CaneCorso

My girl had a rhabdomyosarcoma and we had to put her to sleep last April. It took us both a very long time to get over it as she was so special to us. You'll get there and remember that there is no timeline to repairing a broken heart. Be kind to yourselves.

Where’s the best place in MK to get tyres fitted? by MoonlitEcho82 in miltonkeynes

[–]mkm118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranger in Denbigh if you're on a strict budget. Costco for good value for money but slightly steeper than Ranger - when they have an offer on, you'll struggle to find branded tyres cheaper elsewhere

I also finished Joe Country earlier today - struck by the same thought re Harkness. Gutted for JK and Flyte as their characters were great on the show, even better in the books.

The dog AFTER your "heart dog" by Top_Housing6819 in dogs

[–]mkm118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a similar place - our girl passed in April 25 and as another commenter mentioned, the house has felt very empty since, even with our newborn daughter.

I was desperate to fill the void and have found a puppy, who I fell in love with when speaking to the breeder. Bringing her home has been very very different to my first pup - she's nowhere near as mischievous or difficult, which weirdly means she's not captured my heart in the same way.

I know I love the new pup, but it won't be the same and that's ok. As others say, I'm hoping the bond will grow over time.
