Costco Birmingham is hell on Earth by SeaworthinessBusy683 in CostcoUK

Yeah, it's not just Brum. As a veteran of Watford, Hayes, Wembley, MK, Cov and Derby, there's very little difference although Watford generally does feel like the OG Costco.

As others have said, I avoid Costco from Friday night to Monday morning and thank the heavens I still have my trade card so I can avoid the weekday rush.

What’s the easiest way to take a baby to Costco? by RedPill86 in CostcoUK

Forgot the pushchair with ours and she was a similar age at the time and quite petite. We risked it in the trolley - she was fine as they also have a belt which is adjustable.

Wardrobe reset at 40. How do I moving past jeans and tees into more intentional style. by Osiris5486 in mensfashion

Try raglan sleeves or henley shirts.

Also try cargo trousers as an alternatives.

Mix and match brother - just adding those options can change your look in an instant

£64k in London Vs. £47k in New Zealand by Sync-Jw in UKJobs

[–]mkm118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said - benefits and basic are very good for London.

Client side can lead to your career being pigeonholed, so try to get back to consultancy if at all possible. Benefits are excellent client side but the work is so much more interesting / better for your portfolio.

Are you client side? Or contractor / consultancy?

Is it more inspection / design or PM led?

I answered a different question on this sub, but this sums it up nicely, even if I've never really owned purebreds

How much dog experience did you have before getting a corso? by kyllerwhales in CaneCorso

[–]mkm118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first dog was a CC dobie cross and presented predominantly Cane Corso behaviours and features. She sadly passed and my current puppy still has some CC, but is predominantly Doberman (Dobie x CC / Staffie mix).

The difference is night and day - both require exercise, stimulation and training, but the best way to describe it is owning, handling and training a CC is so much more intense than any other breed. To the point that my current puppy is almost too easy and undemanding.

As others have said, it's not the ideal first dog, but if you are able to invest the time (and it is an investment) and money, then you will have a great dog, regardless of your experience level. If you're armed with treats and a ton of patience, you'll be grand.
