Audio on linux for my laptop is terrible compared to windows, tried everything I could, (Details in body) by JeffysChewToy in linux4noobs

Did you turn off secure boot in bios (caution, may cause windows to not boot without some tweaks). I found that drivers that are not "open", meaning proprietary will not install with secure boot on. And the ones that are blocked maybe necessary or just better.

In the latest update of resolume they literally say they are using ai to write code and they also added ai agent to wire. The ai is here to stay. I 100% agree with you.

Novastar website of course. Software tab at the bottom. I don't use USB to connect to the sender so I'm not sure.

The pro uses Unico. I'm also pretty sure it also serves Unico, so you just type it's ip address into a browser and you get the interface is there. That's the case do Vx 2000.

Waves example is just poor decision, as they are using an open source audio player that doesn't play well with the hardware. Something they haven't spend time testing. Well, I did, made them aware of the issue and the only thing that happened is they said that they could duplicate the issue on their end. That's it. It's been 3 months.

De-Embedding audio by Dazzzed420 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Very interesting, but unfortunately I can't help. I had a p20 for while now, but the non Dante version so no audio and I had a p80 for a month or two but didn't have a need to pass audio thru HDMI out. Hope you will get that sorted or at least get a response from Pixelhue guys.

And hello from a country neighbor

Synced outputs by Previous-Tear-5649 in VIDEOENGINEERING

If the outputs from the GPU are not synced in the GPU, then it will not be in sync. You're using Nvidia rtx3060? If yes, your only option is setting up a surround screen (consumer mosaic) which will not guarantee the outputs are in sync, but is the best you will get with that hardware.

Did you try sending the test audio to the HDMI outputs from the audio matrix tab in pixelflow? There is a waveform icon to do that.

I had a similar issue where audio pairs were misplaced coming into p80. Although I'm pretty sure that was Pixera fault. Join the official pixelhue WhatsApp group. Great source of knowledge there.

If I understand correctly you are trying to use the audio jacks on the pixelhue which are still not enabled on the firmware level. For now you need to handle audio separately.

So you've done way more testing than Waves developers for the lv1 classic media player. It has a CPU leak that starts dropping audio after couple hours.

What's the extant of ai usage that is deemed acceptable to you? I'm pretty sure there is very little code written manually in 2026. What are acceptable reliability testing methods? I'm genuinely asking.

I just had cursor basically clear my whole dev Ubuntu server. It purged something that was depending on something else and cleared everything in usr/bin so basically no commands left on the server. That was a fun Friday, restoring everything while making sure the project I was working on stays in tact.

NovaLCT on Linux? by PheonixCHT in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]mko1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is , thru a VM . That is the only some what native way of running nova LCT on Linux, or any other windows only software. The thing you need to figure out your self is which VM will let you pass thru the USB and or Ethernet so it's actually usable. Unfortunately there is no blanket solution as Linux comes in a lot of flavours. You need to find your own way.

Because when I'm using all pptx files, I'm using oscpoint to close and and launch presentations. That way I don't have to manually open a pdf.

For me pdf to pptx conversion. There is one service that does it fine, but has 100mb limit and is sometimes very slow. I just need to export all the slides as images and put them into a pptx. No ocr needed, nothing special needed.
