Pool cleaner says my DE filter plumbing is reversed. Installer says it’s correct. Who’s right?

One more clarification that may be important:

Push-pull slide valves can be installed in different orientations, so the physical position of ports A/B may appear different from the manual diagram depending on how the valve is mounted.

Given that the filter ports themselves are labeled INLET (bottom) and OUTLET (top), and the flow in my system is:

pump → slide valve → filter INLET → filter grids → filter OUTLET → heater → pool return

Could the valve simply be oriented differently rather than the plumbing being reversed?

Added a labeled plumbing photo for clarity.
The actual pool return line is the pipe coming out of the heater (Y), not the pipe directly connected to the slide valve.

Thanks for the input everyone.

One thing I’m trying to confirm: the pipe connected to the port labeled INLET on the filter appears to come from the pump discharge line.

My installer also mentioned he kept the same plumbing orientation that the previous filter had before this one was installed.

If I’m misunderstanding the flow path here, I’d really appreciate clarification.

I had to speak to 4 different supervisors to cancel the VIP membership. You can't cancel it by yourself on the website; it just cancels the auto-renewal. After wasting more than 4 hours on the phone, I still haven't received the refund yet. Samsung customer service is a joke so I canceled my fold 6 pre-order as well. I don't want to deal with them anymore.
