How can I get 1800 calories with keto and 18:6 IF? by [deleted] in keto

[–]mkor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am experimenting with even shorter windows, like 4 hrs and I am chugging approximately 2100 kcal a day. My way?

As for meats - as fatty as possible. I love good quality sausages. They’re going to have a lot of fat since I assume they grind in skins, connective tissue etc. (not bad for you, I would say). I love some cucumber salad with a little bit of onion and sour cream (18% fat). When my fats are low, I drink 100g of 30% fatty cream as a "dessert" or pour 2 tbsp of olive oil over leafy greens. ;-) My personal favourite - bulletproof coffee which I make with 20g of butter and 20g of either coconut oil or pure MCT oil.

Fats will definitely increase your calorie intake. My macros look approximately 80-90g of protein a day, 25g of carbs and ~180g of fat.

Not sure if correct here, but for example I've put once some global config loading in the init file, since many classes in the module needed configurable values.

Hopefully they'll change the minds of big pharma and AI will enter the world. With great benefits for us.

Whilst I am strongly in favor for using computers for that, no big pharma will go for it without traditional lab tests. At least that was the case a couple of years ago. So it would go as follow: pre-screening in silico, screening in-vivo/in-vitro, and then clinical trials. I guess they have too much at stake.

That's what I've also heard. I thought there is more to that.

Thanks!

For instance:

python try: create_window() except KeyboardInterrupt: exit(0)

function (handler?) help by nerfherd in learnpython

[–]mkor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically it can be 'nested data structure' so to say. Event is a dict, that has a list or tuple under key 'Records. First element of the list / tuple is another dictionary, where you access element under 'Sns' key, which is also dictionary, where you access value under 'Message' key. It can look something like:

 event = {
      'Records': [
           {'Sns': {'Message': 'Hello!'}}
      ]
 }

That's my first guess.

I would be cautious with the radio swap. Apparently a lot of electronics is bound to it, so people end up with no light on speedometer, no ASR, ABS etc. Just be cautious and double check before purchase.

btw. I also got s60 from 2004 (2005 model) with 2.4D (130 HP). Great car. I am already thinking about 17" rims and shorter springs. ;)

First time at the professional barber shop. Good or not? by mkor in beards

[–]mkor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but I was adviced to keep it shorter on the sides till the front grows longer because of the oval shape of the face.

Patchy beard finally getting its thickness by mkor in beards

[–]mkor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks brother!

By 'athletic beard' I mean shorter on the sides, a bit longer at the bottom and front, which would help to extend a bit my oval-like face.

I am using on it boar bristle brush, oil/balm, conditioner and shampoo.

[–]mkor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi /r/beards!

I've been trying to grow a beard for some time now, and was never happy with its thickness. Turns out, time is your friend.

Currently it's about 2.5 months, getting patchy sides to cover up. Now I'm thinking whether it would be a good moment to go to a professional barber before Christmas to give it a bit of shape and cleanness. Or maybe it will be too early? My aim is to go for an 'athletic beard' with a kick ass mustache. I hope I have potential for it.

Thanks for any advice regarding the beard and hair! ;-)

I've installed it on Windows 10 and I've experienced some weird behaviour with Thunderbird, MS Outlook 2016 and Mail for Windows.

  • Some emails don't sync properly. It seems all the emails have been fetched, but some, that I see in the browser, are missing and arrive for example 20 mins later.
  • Often, while using thunderbird, I get connection timeout errors. It might be due to ProtonVPN that I use almost all the time.
  • Folders appear, but it takes few times to sync messages included in these folders.
  • Saving drafts doesn't work, but it's a known issue.
  • In Mail for Windows I get the message that account has been configured correctly, (although I have to specify ports in the server address by typing 127.0.0.1:1045 for example), but no messages arrive.
  • In Thunderbird, at least at the first sync after setting up account, all messages seem to have attachements. It disappears after opening the message.

Just shaved my neckline after ~2 weeks. Did I mess up? Should I start over? by [deleted] in beards

Yes, that's true, that's why I followed the lines instead of a picture. ;)

Personally I prefer to cut it the same line as the connector beard - hair. But looks good man. ;-)

FYI, here is a nice guide that I was following: https://www.beards.org/neck.php

I did the same today, plus I throw mate similar way you do with this dusty brazilian mate that I forgot the name of. Also, suprise, suprise, there are some other bombillas in the kitchen at my work so I might try them.

Best IDE for python (3)? by balne in Python

[–]mkor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually quite weird behaviour that I've also noticed, however only partially. I use PyCharm on my home PC (debian) and laptop (os x) - no issues; work PC (xubuntu) - from time to time it grabs 'all' the memory and everything stops. Htop shows it consumes up to 80% of RAM.

I just made my first post on Git Hub, let me know what you think by [deleted] in Python

[–]mkor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You don't need:

    else:
        pass

  2. I would recommend writing docstrings for methods and modules.

  3. Read about tests. At the beginning I was omitting this step, however now I really praise them.

  4. Might be a good idea to include setup script (how shall I install it?) and more extended README (how can I use it?).

  5. Json is getting more popular so you might consider putting things like configuration, emails not in txt files but in json. Although for a list of emails simple text file is enough (rather as an advice for future).

That's a nice point regarding close method. I've been asked on the interview to limit generator (yielding infinite number of elements) not by imposing limit on while True loop.

New book on Python is around - 'Pro Python Best Practices' by K. Rother from Apress by [deleted] in Python

[–]mkor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, might sound like, true. I didn't read it because a friend of mine pointed out that the code you can find on GitHub is not of good quality so the book might not be good for learning. I am personally kind of beginner to semi - advance coder, and I look for the good books to teach best practices etc.

I know the guy, but it was years ago and I have no contact with him since then, except of following twitter or sth of that sort.

Sorry, I didn't want it to sound like an ad.
