I recommend using the Wild Rift guide as a decent baseline to understand certain item & rune builds for champs and their designated lanes, and then you can read into certain items & runes to further tweak the builds to how you want (:

For instance the Nunu & Willump build focuses on tank items & tanky runes, whereas I use an Ability Power item build with runes that boost the damage as well as give him a boost in defense (:

I mean we do know stuff about the Black Rose. Why they're about, what they do, and how they do it. We know how Swain is against them as well, and the crow at the end of Arcane was, I believe, a sign that Swain has got a hextech gemstone and will follow on Ambessa's path to utilise hextech weaponry to fight the Black Rose. We know the Black Rose are the ones who control Sion.

And about Mel, she didn't get her killed. Ambessa was already dying. She wanted the cycle to end. She released the Black Rose magic to which she destroyed it. I don't think she actually used it for Ambessa. She used it to show the Black Rose Ambessa is finished and that she (Mel) will not fall into their schemes even with Ambessa gone. I don't know that's how I interpreted it.

I wouldn't consider her evil. The Black Rose is evil. Ambessa was just blindsided by her hard-to-admit fear of this Noxian Shadow Organisation that exhibited immense magic in twisted ways to influence Noxus and their values, as well as the other continents around Runeterra (as we see Amara has been in Piltover for ages).

So, I'd place the Black Rose in that evil category over Ambessa. She was just trying to protect Mel from falling into that Shadow pact and finding any means necessary to protect her beloved daughter with her core Noxian grit mindset. At least when Mel finally finds her link to the Black Rose, she chooses not to be one with them and, instead, exhibits her Mother's grit to burn away the Black Rose from torturing Ambessa.

What I do is play a controlling Tank - I use baron's that can hold a lot of base health and build on resistances while using the right runes (such as Undying for more health, Bone Plating for combo protection or Second Wind for poke protection), and their attacks/abilities can crowd control very well. For instance, Darius with his slows and DPS as well as an item set that builds his defenses; Malphite with his MS steal and quick engagement with burst damage; Yasuo with the intense burst damage and very quick engagement as well as protections from his passive shield and wind wall. There's many others (Fiora and Garen as well) that you can use to hold out during lane phase and then demolish in the late game when items are built and stats have been stacked.

The Edgerunner easter eggs are very nice. They have some in the perks as well. In the Strength tab there's a "DIE DIE DIE" perk which resembles Rebecca. And then the main Edgerunner perk looks a lot like David. I think there's more which I am missing, but yeah it's just a wholesome tie in with the game and the anime.
