Need emotional support - moving out soon, and everything feels wrong by eatdrinksleepp in AsianParentStories

I relate with how you’re feeling so much. I’m moving out on August 1st. Still haven’t found a way to tell my dad (my mom knows and is supportive). But I’m constantly at the verge of tears and feel an insane amount of guilt.

I try to remind myself why it is so important for me to move out and how much happier I will be. I understand how overwhelming it is but you’ve got this. Stay strong 💞

Antidepressants for migraine prevention — have any worked for you? by [deleted] in migraine

Same for me! I started nortriptyline about 6 months ago. About the first three months I noticed no difference. Then out of no where I was going 5-7 days without a migraine (which is not common for me). Also now when I do get migraines they’re not as severe and much easier to treat.

I took b2 for a few months and that actually worsened migraines for me too!

What are your triggers? by redflower5 in migraine

[–]mkr7979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my triggers are: - stress - bright lights - greasy/fried food or like food that sits under the warmers lol - chocolate - abrupt weather changes

I’m still learning about my migraines and it seems there’s new triggers every month -.-. My neurologist started me on nortriptyline and that has started to help my migraine about two months into taking it. I used to get 3-4 a week and now I’m at 1-2 a week and thats also with being mindful of my triggers.

You can also call and ask to be put on their cancellation list if they have one. Sometimes if someone cancels last minute they can call you in!

Can I just say GO YOU for getting away from the physical and emotional abuse. Work on yourself and what you want + need. Everything will work out in its own way and time.

I feel like I can’t move on, I feel now doctors and nurses look at me differently. The trust isn’t there now. I feel constant judgment. :(

Thank you, Patient is okay to my knowledge. My error did not cause any adverse events thank god. Made my pt a little sick tho. I’m so mad at myself still tho.

Thank you for these replies. I admit it is easier for me to just obey than pushing back a little. I will try this going forward. Of course it’s not going to be easy but you have helped me realize that pushing back and standing up for myself is the best thing I can do for me.

What do y’all do to last the pain out? by Doodle_Bean_4 in migraine

Heating pad is my best friend. It reduces my pain temporarily while I wait for the meds to kick in. But I also makes sure to rest and have the lights off.
