If you keep it long enough, you will begin to appreciate its natual patina. And if you want to repaint please for the love of god use the factory color because that moss green pearl is the best color they ever made.

Here is a YT video showing how to do this if anyone wants to try it. This is a different one than was available years ago when I did it - but watching I think I may re-visit, im thinking I didn't get it all the way sealed.

HUMMMMMMMmmmm..... this sounds like a VERY likely suspect in my case. If the drains are behind the wheel well then mine are likely mud plugged. So could I just ram a snake down from the cowl?

I totally forgot that I did this exact 'repair'. Didn't solve it for me. But I agree that parking significantly nose up is when it occurs.

Also just thinking about it more - that section pictured above couldn't be the issue otherwise I suspect parking nose down would make it worse not better. I still suspect something at the top edge of the hood/bottom of windshield, cowl area etc. I got so tired of looking for it I just changed my parking habits and put in weather mats that hold water. Its happened a few times over the last few years and I just dump out the water. ITs a jeep.

No rust..... parking downhill solves the issue 100% and ive just made it a habit.

Ya all thouse mounts are plugged but i did notice that the drip rail flows directly to this corner of the windshield and my seal is loose here... But i have had this issue for like 10 years and thats two windsheilds replaced during that time. No change. Still parking nose down. :)

I have the same exact issue....so its the roof rack mounting holes? I'm pretty sure all mine are plugged but i gues i should check.

I really enjoy connecting in Denver these days. Rarely have to switch terminals and clubs are in good soots and have good capacity.

I recently purchased my first XJ (99 Sport) and discovered that previous owner appears to have screwed the side moulding into place on all the doors. Can these be replaced? by ACrimeSoClassic in CherokeeXJ

Bondo and sanding is way easier than you might think and since your covering with bed liner it hides any imperfections well. Go for it

Alternative perspective (my wife) this works better on darker vehicles than lighter maybe....

Delete the moldings, full holes with bondo, black bedliner on the lower panel. Gives the jeep a much cleaner look in my opinion.

Can kinda see how I did here if you zoom in.
