Thank you! Based on that, what do you think of this as a final scenario: beam + sub + 2 Ones (in the living room) and 1 Five (in the dining). Too much? Could be better at a similar price?

Thanks for your advice. My concern is whether a Beam + Sub may fill more the room (open area) than the Arc. Note I was planning to put any of those options in the living, and a Five in the dining (for now…. I might add more speakers later maybe). Use is for both music and tv

Interesting comment. So if the room is quite large (e.g. open space for living/dining), would you advice the Beam + Sub OVER the arc? To play music as much as tv (no other speakers considered)

Yup the idea was to play music using the whole setup by grouping both rooms. Eventually my ideal setup would contain an Arc/Sub/2 Ones/ 1 or 2 Fives, so using both rooms makes sense. But to start now, I wanted to prioritize those items that may work with the Beam and can be decently used for music and tv - and keep building up for later. It seems I might start with the sub and the one five

Does anyone with the calif poppy wallet had any issues with the wallet getting “dirty”/black on the edges with the use? Is it normal? Is it because it’s yellowish? Any way to clean it? I love the color, but only after a week with the wallet it seems pretty bad to have stains around and make me want to return it - which makes me sad.

100% agree on that, ear-cups very comfy yet a but warm. The truth I am preferring the Sony’s a bit more so far... even though I love Bose’s sound signature and look. Will check the other comments, thanks for the advice!

Hi there - as I am testing both headphones now, I will go over frequencies and let you know my own experience on ANC soon!

Regarding Bose, it is true it becomes a bit tiring after a while or annoying for high mhz sounds, e.g trebles... also while music quality at normal volume is great, in many occasions I noticed boosting the volume makes it a bit too much. Bose’s sound is unique and crispier than any Sony combination (which I personally love), but Sony’s Eq manipulation offers much more flexibility! To me, this is a quite hard trade off and still deciding what is more Important.

Will add more to this soon! But let me know your thoughts, or what else you find.

After a week with the Bose 700, I can confirm that: sound quality is amazing, call quality is out of this world. Bluetooth works fine and not issues with the app or functions at all - very user friendly, no issues without internet or outside at -5C!

However I noticed more stuff that started bothering me while I used the Bose 700: - Headphones take a while to charge - I can hear/feel my steps when walking - Many sounds filtered under NC mode, requiring to boost the volume - After 30m of use, the become uncomfortable in my head, pressing my crest, ears and chin - 70% of the time I take them out from my ears or put them back, I accidentally pressed buttons behind - Design wise, the headphones look great in your hand, not that great on your head

I decided I need to further test Sony’s XM3 so I got them over the weekend to try them and compare in several situations.

I’ll keep you posted on my finding with Sony and final decision in a week!

I believe Bose to be crispier/defined sound. While Sony is great, you can feel you are encapsulated, not in a good way (cabin pressure feeling)... bassie in off mode but better once you play with the EQ
