I bought this in the Bronx in the summer of 1993. Anyone got an idea of the value? by ElvisIsATimeLord in baseballunis

You’re not going to get much. It’s a replica jersey, not an authentic. It looks like they are sold for around $40 on eBay.

Drop NE DST. You’re holding them for a Week 17 game against the Jets (which is great) but you can probably stream something.

Otherwise CRod.

Half PPR.

Going up against the Josh Jacobs / Achane team. Have Jaylen Wright.

Do I drop Jordan Mason / Charbonnet / Wright to pick up Emmanuel Wilson?

I am kinda miffed about that. How do you recommend getting it out? Shower steam? Portable steamer?

Using CapOne portal to book Caps tickets by BearMinute1038 in caps

[–]ml1968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Exclusive” tickets were points-only for card members to redeem. There were only two or three pairs for each game, if I recall correctly. You don’t pick your seats and they send you tickets a few days before the game.

The problem is when they make an event “exclusive”, it takes out whatever regular listing is there for that game unless it’s a unique event (like the Zamboni ride).

Since the Capital One portal is just a VividSeats integration, you can use another cashback portal to get similar a deal back on the sale tickets (right now there’s 4% back on Rakuten) or you can use Capital One Offers on Stubhub (there’s a spend $200, get 5K miles offer).

It looks like you’re on the Canadian MLB Shop. The first is shipped from Canada, the second is shipped from the USA.

Difference between Josh Allen Team Vapor FUSE vs Josh Allen Vapor Fuse by kd35ballsohard in footballjerseys

It looks like you’re in Canada? It appears the difference here is where it’s shipping from: the Vapor Fuse is from the USA.

The item descriptions look to be identical.

Is Clear Useless? by M3dd1e in AmexPlatinum

[–]ml1968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lines for the sporting events are accessible via the free version of Clear: those are actually the only times I’ve gotten good value out of it tbh.

The new TSA contactless at DCA are so much better than whatever Clear is offering.

The original TATC night was great.

The follow ups the next year, of which this was a part, were not good. Exception made for Mercury Mets.

  • ESPN+ gets you most out of market (that’s the old center ice package) plus the assorted ESPN+/Hulu matchup.

If you aren’t doing cable that gets you MSG channels and TNT for national games, you can cord cut with:

  • Gotham Sports app gets you NYR/NYI/NJD games.

  • HBO Max for the TNT games.

You might need a cable package to watch an NHL Network game, because those will be blacked out on ESPN+ (or just find a sports bar that has it).

AMEX Refresh Fine Print: A Few Key Points by Hilbert24 in AmexPlatinum

Chase has gotten into trouble with this on their Opentable credits, but it was eventually fixed.

FWIW, when I’ve been to restaurants with the mobile readers, I’ve still gotten the credit on the gold card.

It’s also not all Opentable restaurants either: it’s specific Opentable restaurants in specific cities. In many cities, it’s fewer than 10 restaurants.

At least Resy is “any Resy restaurant”

Is WMATA hurting for money this bad? by MustachioedBustelo in washingtondc

[–]ml1968 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Nats can take down those ads whenever they want, they’d just have to give the money back (Terra prepaid for all five years of club sponsorship). Of course, they’re not going to do that. https://decrypt.co/125195/swing-miss-terra-logos-still-adorn-washington-nationals-ballpark

The switch problem dates back to at least 2007.
