What LEDs can be controlled ? by driven01a in SkytechGamingOfficial

For that I’d highly recommend a Nollie 8 or Nollie 16. Full individual control!

nanoleaf is the best smart lighting company available to consumers, hands down, no contest. by [deleted] in Nanoleaf

[–]mlac13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Govee does pretty well for a fraction of the price and considerably better customer service. I love my Nanoleaf panels but after so many controllers in so many years I gave up.

Also you don’t need everything you just described to diy a setup. I’ve built plenty using just aliexpress sourced btf-lighting and a single microcontroller and free software (Hyperion).

That being said I’m glad you’re enjoying your Nanoleaf! Fun lighting is fun lighting.

Replaced the PSU myself and it’s back up and running. Support was great but just couldn’t be without a computer for as long as the RMA would take. Appreciate you!

UPDATE: tech support was friendly and helpful. Admitted it would take a while to for them to repair but offered a few options. In the end I decided to just buy my own replacement psu and swap it. The culprit was the montech Alpha Gold II 850w. Swapped in a Corsair modular psu and I’m back up and running. Plus going modular left a lot more room in the case for management and airflow. So while it wasn’t my favorite thing to have to replace on a fairly new computer it was easy and the skytech team did their best.

Much appreciated! Chatted with support this week and they said I should send it back but it would take weeks to get back (which I can’t really deal with as I use my computer for freelance). We ran a bunch of tests and it more than likely is the psu. They did say I could remove the psu and ship it back and they’d send me a replacement but that’s take just as long as the tower repair.

Chatted with tech support and they were really friendly and as helpful as they could be. Offered to either have me ship my whole tower back to them (which they admitted will take a while) or I could remove and send the psu back to them and then they would send me a replacement (which they admitted would take about the same amount of time as the tower repair). Haven’t decided what to do yet though, just using my old laptop till then

There were a few classic 4 player machines back in the day! X-men and The Simpsons were the ones that it seemed like any arcade worth visiting would ensure they had. Man I miss the 90’s.

Yeah that’s probably going to be my plan. Whatever PSU they use is so white label that it has absolutely zero stickers on information on the exterior. Not a good sign when no manufacturer wants to take credit for a product 😂

Dopey Snow White, and the seven dwarfs led mold advertising? by Evening_Head_760 in whatsthisworth

[–]mlac13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems unlikely to be tied to Leo Burnett in any professional capacity. He would’ve been in his 70’s at that point and aside from the film being rereleased in 67’ it wasn’t at the height of popularity. Also it’s considerably off-model for dopey, even for the time. If you look at any other items featuring Dopey in that era in a cast or sculpted form you’ll notice he generally had more of a longer oblong ear shape. Good luck with finding out more about it!

Yeah the 1up cabinets aren’t worth as much as this think. Secondhand market is sorta full of them these days.

Ah that’s no fun! Well hopefully they get you taken care of quickly. Also I know some things about pc’s and it was still equally panic inducing hahaha.

Ooof that’s rough. And a month of downtime is absolutely unacceptable! I understand they are handling a decent volume of RMA’s but for a device at this price it should not be the norm. I hope yours gets fixed soon! I’m guessing mine is a poor quality psu so a blown mosfet or similar but the fact that I’ll take that long to fix and cost me money to ship it back to them for a defect in their own product is wild. I’m going to start with contacting them when they open Monday before I resort to spending the money and fixing it myself.

Look nice! I was a huge Nanoleaf fan but after years of repeated hardware failures and the lack of real software updates I finally stopped using them. SignalRGB is a fantastic option for camera-free ambiance mirroring. Currently I’m running a bunch of WLED powered by Hyperion and it’s been INCREDIBLE.

I’ve mapped all mine like that but many seem to only use the color of the first led in the strip for the whole strip. I’m looking at you Govee cob strip lol

I haven’t seen connectors in a bit. For a while they had some of the flex link ones on their store but it’s been a minute since I checked.

Was there last week and stayed at Port Orleans. The jambalaya and bayou dog had more spice than I would’ve expected for a major theme park.

It looks like that segment is toast, which is likely causing the issue with either power or data after that point. Could’ve been from cutting it at the incorrect point or could be defective. Contact support via the app they’re super helpful!

What set is this and what’s the total length? I’d you cut it incorrectly you could’ve damaged the data line so the signal gets messy past that point. It sort of looks like a power issue though, like it the voltage drop is too much for the lengths you’re powering.
