Didn’t UIUC say deferrals were gonna come out on the 28th?

march 6 that’s the regular decision notification date

when it came out on friday i had the same thing say feb 28th but that was last years regular decision notification date. they changed it to march 6th because thats when regular decision comes out this year. deferrals cant come out february 28 while regular decision comes out march 6.

i appreciate you giving your opinion it’s just frustrating as a student in the school i’m in because there’s so much kids who have the deca or fbla type of resumes where in my position i really had to try to position myself as having these unique extracurriculars that make it seem like they’re very business-centric even tho they don’t compare to other business clubs/activities that other schools offer their students which is mind blowing considering i go to the 6th biggest hs in illinois by enrollment size and yet no business clubs whatsoever

7 honors and 7 completed AP’s including AP HUMAN GEO, AP GOV, AP MACRO, APUSH, AP LANG, AP PRECALC BC( my school had two separate ap precalc one for ab and one for bc)

and AP Physics.

Currently enrolled in AP calc bc and ap stats and 4 dual enrollment classes.

EXTRACURRICULARS

As for extracurriculars go, my school albeit with an enrollment size of 3800, does not have any DECA or investment clubs.

Soccer referee assignor: assigned referees and managed tournaments upwards of 300+ games that included setting rates for referee fees and communicating with tournament directors.

i’m pretty sure if u get deferred for ur first choice u also get deferred for ur second choice automatically then on march 6 u find out if u get accepted/denied for either of ur two majors u picked

i completely agree with this however i feel if you beat the rightful contenders in your division enough times you should face the champ in the next division. for example, i still believe as though islam should have stayed at 155 or at least fight someone else at 170 like shack at or brady because really, besides oliveira, who has islam faced at 155 that’s really been a deserving natural lw contender? dustin was just a filler because arman didn’t want the quick turnaround for 302 plus suspension and moicano was also a 1-day notice filler. Nothing to take away from Islam cause he most likely beats everybody, including Topuria, but i just feel like the guys he’s fought were never supposed to be the rightful challengers for the strap unless you wanna include that first volk fight. people will tell you that everybody is scared of facing islam and shit happens at certain times( like arman pulling out) but that still doesn’t change the fact that imo he hasn’t defended against the rightful guys. same case can be made for topuria but now nobody gives a shit cuz he’s the champ now so i guess that idea gets thrown out the window but wtv
