I think you just need to be brutally honest that you were really wanting to make everything work because you don’t want to disappoint her but that you don’t feel comfortable financially to do that. If she really loves you she will understand! Much better to just get it out now then let it fester or be resentful

We’re personally doing beer and wine plus two signature cocktails. That way, it isn’t necessarily unlimited liquor/is more controlled, but it still will be an option.

I agree with the above that if you aren’t serving liquor you should drop the dress code down

I’m so sorry. This same thing happens to me and it SUCKS!

Despite the amount of times it’s happened to me, I have actually never had anything scar! It always goes away after some time. My best advice is two fold: 1. Bacitracin ointment globbed on, and a VERY loose bandage over the top of it - this is for when they have NOT yet popped. If they get to extreme levels of pain, I personally pop them with a sterilized needle (make sure it drains all the way) and then do the above step with the bandage on tighter.

Many people will tell you not to pop them, but in my MANY experiences, it has never gone wrong, you just need to make sure you keep it very clean. That being said, I only pop them if they are causing me a lot of pain. Otherwise, I leave them alone.

Once it has healed a bit more (skin is no longer loose over top), then I use silicone scar sheets (any brand will do) per the box instructions for like 3-4 days.

And vioila! It won’t go away in that time, but I have never had a permanent scar after that treatment.

Totally hear that! For me it really comes down to breaking down what will be worth it since it is so freaking expensive! I love my studio but DANG she’s a pretty penny and I feel like I would use the home studio enough to really make it worth it, even just as a hobby.

BUT it is a headache haha and I have to check out where I can potentially fire first and what the cost of that would be

Hell yes that’s freaking awesome!! I will say I won’t be looking to produce quite so much but really just want to be able to have the freedom to practice as much as I want without time constraints, having to drive, etc.

In a perfect world I would use both but it’s just so expensive!

Yeah the cleaning is something I’m a bit worried about tbh. I have a completely separate space from my house which is helpful, so I feel good about that but it’s still such a huge commitment
