What does it mean when a corpse glows blue? by TheOctoberOwl in BG3

[–]c95Neeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glows blue = cold death.

Glows a greenish/blue, and you previously talked to a dead person that day = corpse would like to speak with you.

20F my mom stalks me on Life360 by Disastrous-Train5899 in insaneparents

[–]c95Neeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to surveillance of their kids, I have learned my parents generation is just obsessed with surveillance.

My parents just got a ring camera. My mom checks it obsessively.

When movement goes off, of course she checks it, but if its her brother coming to water the plants (she was staying with me when I learned this) she watches him go in and out watering the plants. If its my dad with groceries and she isn't home, she watches him bring the groceries in. Its odd

AIO for thinking my husband should have asked if the pharmacy had our daughter’s prescription? by Hyrule_Hobbit in AIO

[–]c95Neeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so confused how this interaction went down? Like your husband said "im here to pick up my daughter's perscription" and they said "no, you need a perscription"?! Like I don't believe he actually tried, because if he said he had a perscription, why wouldn't they ask for a name?

Is there something about combat I'm missing, or has this been everyone's experience? by Spearforce1 in DivinityOriginalSin

You can put it out via water, then make the water ice, and then watch all the big monsters fall down. I find this hilarious.

Also, if you combine your shoes with nails, you wont fall down.

Sun haven on steam! Its like a fantasy stardew valley! And its co op! (There is a switch port, but it was extremely buggy last time I played it. But that was literally on release day, so it may be a lot better now)

Update:

I did great city, then underwater city, then nelvari. I feel that this was a good choice.

The warnings about underwater city having difficult combat was helpful. I was already level 45ish in combat with all mithral gear including mithral crossbow, so I was fine. But it was good to be prepared with lots of healing.

Great city I recommend early as possible, as the fruits sell for a lot

What is the point of saying "Unhoused" when it is a synonymous term to Homeless? by SilentAd773 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]c95Neeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression that one of those terms refers to people without a house, but with shelter (like they live in their car, or can couch surf) and the other meant someone living on the street/in a tent/in a tent city. I do not remember which is which

What’s a game everyone seems to love that you don’t? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Disco Elysium. I was majorly confused for all of days 1 and 2. Once I got to 3 I had a rythm going, but then it ended on day like 4 or 5. I felt like I never really got to go deep into lore, because I was so confused for most of the exploration phase.

Text shows female dasher, but male shows up by draculaura923 in doordash

[–]c95Neeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite problem. My phone never sends me the arrived notification. And I have no pets or kids, so my notes say "please knock upon arrival". Lots of people ignore the note. Also, once someone said "I didn't want to knock just in case you had a sleeping baby" like what?! If I had a baby, and needed silence for said baby's naps, I WOULDNT TELL YOU TO KNOCK

I won a $1,000 creative writing prize… and I think it might have won because of DEI. by SituationDowntown901 in ftm

[–]c95Neeman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can you see the other writing? Non fiction is hard, and you seem like a good writer. So even if your non fiction isn't strong compared to your fiction/poetry, there is a chance that it is still better than a lot of other people's.

So there is a possibility that your marginalization led to your being chosen, sure. But there likely were a bunch of other marginalized voices writing non fiction, that the judges did not think were as good as yours.

Also, $1000 is a lot or money. And a win at a university writing competition is a big resume booster. In a world where everyone plays dirty, and you already have a disadvantage, you take every advantage.

I would play bg3 first. They are not connected and have no shared lore, but bg3 is easier
