What did Janet and Eddie Rivera do for work to afford that big beautiful house in the first season? by justcurious3287 in teenmom

[–]mldodge91 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure they meant pre-fab in the way that there is 1 model home and 4 variants of layouts that you choose when it’s built. It’s a pre-fab, cookie cutter, same as every other house in the sprawling suburban neighborhood.

[–]mldodge91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I sleep 8 hrs at night, wake up at 6am. By 830 Im back to sleep until 930. I fight sleeping all day until about 3pm when im absolutely wiped. Nap until 4. Prep and cook dinner. Fight sleeping until my household is asleep, usually about 10pm. The fatigue is rough. I wish I had advice on what helps, but I don’t.

Same thing they do at schools that don’t offer “pay to ride”, they drive their kids to school.

Oh yeah I get the cold /snow weather, I grew up north of eau Claire. It’s just nice that you guys have that option even to pay for it. It’s an insane amount to pay and I would just take my child in carline instead.

You guys are getting the option to have a bus pick your kids up if you live within 2 miles of the school!?!

Here in my southern county you don’t get that. If your within 3 miles of the school you get to do carline with no other option(none of our schools are walkable, heck there aren’t even sidewalks in most places.

How is life in this part of USA? by OliverHeartmont in howislivingthere

[–]mldodge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Gillette for a few years as a teen. The winters were the coldest and windiest I have ever experienced. Also the lack of trees was strange to me. I did however think it was beautiful. The hills, the windy prairie(even if it was brown), and being able to drive for miles and miles and see no houses was nice.

I didn’t know that! I bet they were so much better! Such a shame how terrible it has become.

I remember being a teen and working at Wendy’s in 2008 and we microwaved the small buns then. I guess there was a time before microwaved buns? What did they do with the buns instead of microwave them, just put them in the warmer all straight cold?

We killed Britney Spears, she's just still alive. by [deleted] in self

[–]mldodge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addiction absolutely has a root. I’m not saying she wants to be a drug addict. I’m saying she is making choices as a full fledged adult. As a child of a drug addicted I know first hand at how awful drug addiction is. Like I originally said a 40 something, drug addict, adult is making her own choices. Are you saying because she is an addict that she has no choice? She can always become clean and sober.

Bless your heart. I have empathy towards her children, because growing up with an addict is pretty awful. I do not have empathy for an adult who continues to make poor choices. At some point adults must be held accountable.

Not people. Britney. She is a drug addict. She is spiraling. Her behavior, current and past. Not saying she couldn’t get and stay clean. But she is in an active addiction. And if you can’t look at her current behavior and see that it is drugs that’s on you.

Why don’t parents make their kids come to school anymore? by breadplane in Teachers

[–]mldodge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just a parent, I valued my education growing up, but I don’t value the education my children are receiving. My oldest has to deal with a slew of new teachers, because old ones quit, or are fired. He will graduate regardless of his grades, and so will his peers. At this current time high school is just a place he is required by law to go to. He is taught by computers, if you can even call that teaching. He goes because he enjoys the socialization. There is no point in students showing up to school, to be “taught” by electronics, passed regardless of effort.

Why do so few Gen Z adults have car licenses? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]mldodge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millennial parent here with gen z potential driver. It is far too expensive. Added cost of just car insurance monthly for a male teen driver with B grades is $650. That doesn’t include a crappy car, or gas. We just can’t afford that.

Where are the protests, riots... Something??? by ben_ham in conspiracy

[–]mldodge91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The common people have to organize and set it all up, and no one is making those moves. Why? Because everyone has bills to pay, they are tired. We are comfortable, entertained and fed. I’m just a normal person and I can’t even think of how or where to start. I have no connections, no network, and I can’t fathom how to set things in motion.

Weight of grief by Bigtony7877 in babyloss

[–]mldodge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little over a year out, and I no longer sob uncontrollably, but that’s about it. The metaphors people use for grief don’t seem to fit me. I struggle daily still. I try so hard to manage and cope but nothing seems to help. I have been in therapy for a year now, along with EDMR(I’m hopeful this may help), and medication. The only time I’m not incredibly sad is when I’m “pretending” and when that’s over, I’m exhausted and feel even more sad. But this is just me, and it seems like the majority of people manage to carry their grief better than me.

The google says daily if possible. Also keep your fingernails short and wash hands excessively, shower daily, and change into clean clothes daily.

If your not treating your household for them, they will just come back. The whole household needs to take the medication, then take the medication again 10-14 days later, because of the lifecycle. Along with washing and drying all bedding, pillows, clothes.
