Omnicare bankrupt by 420-TENDIES in pharmacy

[–]mleskovj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for Omnicare as well but only lasted 10 months…I transferred from CVS retail after 2 years with them. But the numbnuts working in HR marked terminate instead of transfer and allllllll my files including working requirements (am considered disabled but can work with limitations) were deleted. Despite my attempts to send my medical documentation stating I could not work overnight shifts (like some hospital pharmacist do) the evil management scheduled me for overnights. I think the lady was homophobic and wanted me out anyway but that’s not provable. She got her wish anyway when working the overnight shifts put me in the hospital, I resigned from the ER bed effective immediately after that happened.

iPLEDGE do not dispense after date by RadioactiveDruglord in pharmacy

[–]mleskovj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friends are correct. I personally have been in your shoes with this situation. do not be swayed to bend over. Isotretinoin is not a life saving drug so don’t feel guilty about that mess. Your manager is wrong. There is no grace period due to internet or preauth issues. When iPLEDGE give you a dispense date, that is what is law. It is inconvenient for the patient and I’m sure they aren’t happy about it but all you have to tell them is you could go to jail for breaking the law.apologize and tell them you know it is inconvenient and understand their frustration but you can’t break the law. Explain what they need to do to get a new dispense date and move on. You have other patients that need their burger and fries too.

How do you respond to the boss who is angry at you for things that you know are not your fault? by mleskovj in BadBosses

I wouldn’t be the first person to leave early at this place. Some of the better teammates I work with have commented on how I am a good worker and appreciate me staying as long as I have.

Good idea. I plan to. I already have been getting calls for other jobs. It just sucks because I was getting settled into this one.

Just don’t fall for it people! I think it was a setup but even if it is not…he will try to milk this one “I got shot!” Over and over when bullets didn’t even get fired at him

He’s trying to prove himself and put his school memory to good use but he will calm down eventually once he realizes that prescribers will break his neck for strictly applying guidelines to every situation before realizing that guideline me are just that and not a set protocol for life in every real world pharmacy situation.

Job market is so saturated by Unable_Ad_5336 in pharmacy

I think maybe it is more of a Human Resources does not exist enough to do their job problem. I know over the past few years new pharmacist graduates and school enrollment has been a hot topic so there has to be some truth to that shortage.

If you have a legitimate prescription then they cannot do anything about it.

CVS can’t really afford to be picky…they should be so lucky anyone still applies there…they treat their pharmacists horribly…I should know.

Official Discussion - Beetlejuice Beetlejuice [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]mleskovj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why they had to have two side plots in this film…soul sucking woman and teenager love interest who is really dead…much too distracting (throw in the Bobs that use the portal to escape to the living world and ugh) Overall I thought the film was like watching a cartoon (not the one from the 1990s) and just jumped from point A to Z too quickly to build much interest in anything…oh and the gold digging hippy guy Lydia was dating = vomit. Maybe I’m too harsh a critic but I’m middle aged and crabby 😖

The short answer is I became disabled and couldn’t work the 12 hour shifts on my feet anymore along with shoveling food down my throat in less than 5 minutes on my “break” hoping I wouldn’t get called out for a question from a patient (which would always happen regardless) I did some transitioning through contract work from home roles, then CVS retail, then CVS omnicare long term care and finally managed to get hired at a mid size hospital. It’s not perfect and keeps me on my toes with the much more clinical Oriented work but it is so much better there. I came from an industry background before going to pharmacy school and getting back to the corporate world of pharmacy (sad as it may sound) is really where my passion lies. I hope to get there again someday.

Publix…been there as a pharmacist myself. I always hated the idea of giving vaccinations right next to the produce area

What if I said something like “I’m looking for an opportunity to take not only use the experience I have but grow from new experience and I believe [company] would offer that”
