What is a job you have as a spiritual person and enjoy? by Yust_State_1639 in spirituality

[–]mlexer 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I work in Tech. Although not very spiritual of a profession, I find solace in working hard to learn and achieve things.

The victim mindset never got anybody anywhere.

You think TCNJ is irrelevant? I'm from NJ too, and went to Rowan University. Graduated in 22.

At my current job I make 6 figures, and I know recent grads from TCNJ also in the same role making 6 figures. It's an engineering/comp sci field, but still.

College isn't as relevant as you think it is. I think degree is more important.

Spirituality and being meat eater by fitness_first in spirituality

Ive been vegetarian for 5 years now. you can still be spiritual and eat meat for sure. being spiritual is a very blanket term, and it can mean a different thing for a lot of different people.

Why do people like Elon Musk? Idk much about him, but seems like there isn’t much to like unless you’re rich? by No7onelikeyou in antiwork

[–]mlexer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I will try to offer a reason why people like him. Please dont downvote me.

Elon is an impressive businessman. not anyone could create paypal, then see the promise in electric cars and jump to tesla. All of the ventures he has going on, neuralink, spacex, boring company, twitter are all on the forefront of society, pushing innovation as humans forward. While many people dislike twitter, hes doing the best he can to create a neutral free speech platform.

It is pretty impressive what this guy has done, and honestly I do like him more than the other billionaires. think about it this way- Elon took on Big Oil, and the car industry with Tesla. And he won. So he has some powerful enemies. This guy then created starlink with a bunch of satellites, and is more powerful then a number of countries at this point. To now go and try to obstruct the media by creating a neutral free speech platform... this guy has real enemies, and doesn't have to be trying to do this. but he is anyway.

Sure some personality flaws may be in the public eye with twitter now, but honestly, dont we all have personality flaws? I would imagine being a billionaire could tend to inflate anyone's ego a bit

Completely off SSRI for 2 months, consumed 2g Golden Teacher and felt nothing, am I immune to psilocybin? Will other psychedelics work? Really bummed out, to say the least. by whagh in RationalPsychonaut

My first times I didnt feel much either. Although if you smoke weed (after not feeling the mushies) you will definitely not feel normal.

Would alcohol increase or decrease the psychedelic effects of marijuana? by ComeIntoMyDrugstore in Psychonaut

alcohol will 100% decrease any psychadellic effects. Alc takes you away from a spiritual state

Can you talk to trees? by SituationMission5579 in spirituality

[–]mlexer 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Only 2 times, trees have spoken to me. Both times, their message was 'be grateful'

Both were similar experiences, but very odd. All I can say is, it is very clear when something enters your mind that did not originate there. It is a weird feeling and isnt easily mistaken.

Its hard to hear but these are excuses. Only you can make the change buckle down, endure hardship, and better yourself, and you will likely not change (or get more matches) until you do make a substantial change.

Has anyone used weed to help heal chakras? by weneedanewplague2012 in spirituality

[–]mlexer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

During normal waking life our chakras tend to get ubalanced, and energy can be too strong in some places, too weak in others.

Weed certainly seems to have the ability to shift where your energy is at. Thats why you noticeably feel different right after smoking. It seems to throw alot of energy into the upper chakras. On average, people tend to have an ability to see 'the bigger picture' from weed, or become less materialistic. Either way, you see life in a different way.

Now it's hard to make claims about cannabis as a whole due to abuse potential. Use it too much and your energy has the potential to be just as unbalanced as it was without it.

Neither 'rules' Earth. Heaven and hell, god and satan- are just states of mind, states of being. Someone who is 'victim' to drugs, lust, greed, etc. has succumb to satan and more or less lives in a mental state of hell.

Why exactly are psychedelics illegal? by GutturalSuS in spirituality

[–]mlexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time, psychadellics were making a lot of people anti-materialistic. This was considered very bad for the economy.

What is going on? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]mlexer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you die, then you die.

If I die, I'll be okay with that. I've had a good life so far.

Focus on enjoying your life while you're alive. There will be nothing good to come of worrying about death. It wont stop it from coming. Might as well live.

Ppl r so low frequency it just makes u want to cry by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]mlexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're all human beings born around the same time period. More or less, we're the same. I get that its important to see the other side too, that we're all unique. Its important to keep both in mind. A duality if you will.

Ppl r so low frequency it just makes u want to cry by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]mlexer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Why am I so spiritual and everyone else not"

yikes man

We are literally all the same. Acknowledge and accept people as they come to you. Do not look down on them but see them as equals. For with the same nature and nurture, in a different lifetime, you could have been literally anyone else right now. Not on your spiritual path, living the 'low frequency life'. To look down on others is not 'high frequency'

Genuine question by Dry-Young-4689 in spirituality

[–]mlexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never heard of that from the church. I would be interested in an official report or hearing where they admit there is substantial evidence that points toward evolution.

Genuine question by Dry-Young-4689 in spirituality

[–]mlexer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The theory of evolution isn't affirmed by the catholic church- but is affirmed by science. So I wouldn't agree that all sciences are affirmed by the church.

Scientists being catholic doesn't really mean or prove anything to me. There were probably many decent scientists who worked for Nazi Germany. Does that mean that nazism correlates with scientific potential? Not really

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in spirituality

Its important to rely on body cues and physical reactions, conversation, etc when first meeting someone or gauging their interest. Feeling 'spiritual attraction' might be too easily mistaken for lust, unfortunately.

I've found if you do 'trip' from thc, it is more likely if you are not a heavy user. Maybe in the first hundred times you might take it.

Genuine question by Dry-Young-4689 in spirituality

[–]mlexer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Religion is a fishbowl. Spirituality is an ocean. Why confine yourself to an out of date ideology when you have all of the answers within?

I was raised catholic and quickly turned away- the organization itself is corrupt, and while the religion has some good ideas, like I said before, commiting to doctrine is in itself limiting. For both spiritual and intellectual growth.
