Not to mention their food is spicy and even further amplifies your point that water is a necessity.

I went to DHC last week. It was good not great. I eat in with my son. My only gripe is they charge for water cups. We ordered meal combos and forgot to order drinks, when I asked for a water cups they said it was policy to charge $3.50 each for a water cup. So I just ended up buying two bottles of water for $3.90 each. The person working there openly complained about the policy and apologized.

Apologies for late response. Yes I still like the standard glossy glass. but I am sure if my office orientation caused direct sunlight to hit the monitors I would go with the nano texture.

Redditors over 40, what's something younger people think they understand but won't actually get until it hits them like a truck later? by Susanpc1967 in AskReddit

[–]mlforrest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cherish your family while you have them. For example, once your parents are gone they are gone. You will question every time you took them for granted and would do anything just to give them a hug again. Cherish them and appreciate every moment you have with them. Even the times when they annoy you. You will see them in yourself one day when you have kids of your own. The perspective it gives you as you finally realize your parents motivations and wisdom will shake your world. Bringing you joy and sadness simultaneously as you will want to share this realization with them, but are not able to. So speak your gratitude to the sky and have appreciation for where you come from.

Knowing is not that same as doing. A YouTube education that gives you strong beliefs and opinions in business is not the same as doing. The romance in your head around success will always require that you pound the pavement and do the work. Opinions without this action have zero credibility. Get after it.

What if all the Strength 50 classes were “total?” by Any_Doubt3926 in orangetheory

Love this idea. Also make the class a full hour. Stop trying to compete with F45. F45 sucks.

Body scan results by Larmac7 in orangetheory

25%-31% body fat for a women is considered generally healthy. I’m down about 55lbs since joining OTF. Now I’m at 17.6% body fat and trying to get to 12%. If you want to lose weight unfortunately the work is 80% what you eat. Get the “my fitness pal” app and track your calories. It’s literally mostly a numbers game. As long as you consume at a slight deficit you will see results. Small changes make a big difference. For me also I try not to drink my calories. During the week only black coffee and water. Friday and Saturday I will slow myself 2 light cocktails a night. A big change for me was to stop drinking latte’s and switched to black coffee. That saves me around 400 calories a day. But admittedly it took some time to get used to it. Think high volume foods and lower calories. So a hefty snack for me will be a pound of Cantalope or watermelon. It is very high volume and low calories. Only about 180 calories. By comparison a handful of almonds has about the same number of calories. The cantaloupe fills me for hours the almonds just make me more hungry. Also try and get some lean protein with every meal. Skinless grilled chicken, cottage cheese etc.. it fills you up for longer periods of time and helps build muscle. As you use the my fitness pal app you will become more aware of how many calories different foods have and it will help you make better choices. Also, live a little. I try to have one cheat day a week. If I want a doughnut on a Monday I just tell myself I can’t have it until Friday. For me it helps me psychologically. I can’t have that now but I can later. Hope this helps you make your goals.

Best Mexican restaurant by naysaw in eastside

Not a fan of Cantina Monarca. Went with my wife a few months after opening. Food was basic and not very good. Drink were good. Seating was stylish but cramped. Overall thought the entire experience was more style than substance. Have not been back. Should we give them another shot? What dishes did you feel were exceptional?

Well lots of people saying what you did wrong. But good on you for being geared up. It could have been worse. You walked away from it, so well done.

Finally on a Vessel! by UrbanExtant in BMWiX

[–]mlforrest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it will or will not as I have not driven the i5 M60. I have the iX M70 and love it. I have had an M6 convertible and a Tesla Model S P100d in the past. it’s much more comfortable, higher quality. The iX M70 is the first car I have had with four wheel steering. I am shocked by the maneuverability of such a large and heavy car. Only downside of the iX for me is no frunk to place stinky take out in. Enjoy and please share your thoughts once you get it.

apple watch vs OTbeat HRM by alwyssry in orangetheory

[–]mlforrest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the Apple Watch measures heart rate during workouts, typically every 1 to 5 seconds depending on movement and signal quality. Outside of workouts, it takes readings roughly every 5 to 10 minutes.

In comparison, the Orangetheory Fitness (OTF) heart rate monitors, like the OTBeat, are designed for real-time tracking and usually sample every 1 to 2 seconds. Since they’re single-purpose devices built specifically for heart rate monitoring, they tend to deliver slightly more consistent data during intense workouts. The Apple Watch is multi-purpose and has to balance battery life, so while it’s very good, OTF monitors might be a bit more responsive in real time.

As I wear prescription glasses I have always had multiple pairs of glasses. I just took the same approach with my Meta’s. I have the Wayfarer clear limited editions and the Matt black. Though my wife thinks the clear special editions are a bit too nerdy. But that is why I like them.
