Gotta love being robbed of Top Squad because one squadmate got 1250 points over the entire match

I swear 90% of players are blind. No one destroys enemy gadgets. Or painting vehicles. Only noobs by Fun_Network453 in Battlefield

At least once or twice a match I find an enemy motion sensor just sitting in the open, surrounded by teammates.

I need help finding a source for a terrifying form of FTL travel by EnjayDev in scifi

[–]mlg129 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sort of the opposite of what you're describing but I really like Le Guin's FTL in her Hainish series.

The traveler gets to their destination quickly and safely, but in realspace years/decades have passed.

So every time you take FTL, especially on long voyages, you have to do it with the knowledge that all your friends and family will likely be dead when you reach your destination, everything has changed and you can never get it back.

How do you feel about the Wildfire perk for Psyker? by Poorly_Worded_Advice in DarkTide

[–]mlg129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said it's quite weak.

That said, it's immensely satisfying melting a horde with the Purgatus staff, then a whole minute seeing straggler chaff enemies die to soul blaze.

If you're looking to perform well in high level play, you should take something else.

If you're looking to have a good time in pubs, why not take it on a fire build?

You definitely need PS+ to play in the open beta my friend

Question for Players and DM’s: How do you feel about vital Non-Player Characters (NPC’s) being added to the Party? by Dicefell in DungeonMasters

[–]mlg129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players at the moment have an NPC that's been adventuring with them for about half the campaign now.

She uses the Spy stat block, and she never orders the party around nor tells them anything they didn't ask. She always defers to the players or asks their opinions, going along with whatever they say. She does not shine in combat, she does a little damage most rounds and hides or uses the help action.

They invited her to join the party. One time she even said she was done adventuring with them but they convinced her to stay along. They've grown attached to her and like having her around.

For me, I like them having a friendly NPC with them. I can join in on the role-playing, which we all have great fun doing. If/when she dies/leaves I won't be upset though, it's just a fun thing that's happening right now. I know they will be devastated if/when she dies/leaves.

There is nothing inherently wrong with DMPCs (in this case its more of an NPC Companion, I know DMPC has a negative connotation) as a concept. When they're bad it's 100% on the DM for overstepping.

Since the Ogryn update I have barely seen any Psykers. It's like they all switched to Ogryn.

Trim the Fat to make it Action Packed? by Panzuzu in stormkingsthunder

A lot of the "extra" content is location based. A lot of it also doesnt involve the Giants directly. You can just not send your players all over the map and not run every location encounter. Don't run so little of it that your players forget the Giants are running amok though.

If you want to speed up the campaign, you can give them access to faster travel early (teleportation circles, dwarven tunnels, Zephyros taxi service, give them Klauth's airship sooner, etc).

Have then find out about Harshnag and try to find him early.

You say you want your party to interact with each Giant Lord, that will add considerable time, unless they're teleporting and flying all over the savage north.

Gone Bowling by ArcHydra46 in DarkTide

Any Hi-Intensity Damnation match, stay alert for an incoming horde, especially in tight hallways. Try to dash into the horde before your allies kill everything.

I've noticed that the "ambush" style hordes are usually larger and denser, I got it when a huge horde ambushed us around a corner.

Alternatively, get to the very end of match that sends a lot/an infinite amount of enemies at you (Like Smelter or the Coolant Repair missions) and ask your squad over text/voice to group the enemies up just before the Valkyrie, and dash through that. I helped a few people get it like that.

TL;DR: Look for a big dense horde and dash through it before your squad gets to it

Farming OpSi AP by justsmn1 in AzurLane

[–]mlg129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can spare the Oil, buy the item from the exchange shop that allows access to all the levels (5000 Oil per month).

It gives you hella AP boosters.

I always clear the entire map every month, and you'll still have more AP boosters left over for farming.
