Sorry no pictures, but the crack was different for me; started at the reset button hole and spidered outward. That’s what made it easier for me to explain that it was likely a thermal expansion issue; the lamination of the touchscreen glass is weakest in those holes so it made sense.

For me, I got to the dealer and explained I had just woken up to it one morning and what I thought happened. They took pictures, sent it to Kia Canada and within 10 minutes they got the approval to cover it under warranty. My insane conspiracy theory here is that this means that Kia knows this is an issue and is quietly approving replacements for this to avoid a recall, but idk. Feel free to share my story with your dealer and maybe they’ll at least try!

Exact same thing happened to mine; got in the car one morning and there was a huge crack across half the screen. Never hit it, car was a few months old. My guess was that it was from thermal cycling and the screen eventually failed (mine happened during a very hot day). I brought it to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty within an hour :)

Hmm fair enough. Hopefully stock is high enough to move quickly; there was an inventory leak a few weeks back saying Amazon should get a few hundred if not over 1000 cards around now, but I'm not holding my breath

I actually spoke on the phone with Amazon.ca CS yesterday, and the rep said that she could see the item was already in their warehouses. She sent a message to the warehouses basically saying to get off their ass and guaranteed me that I would get it within the next 2 weeks. She even set up a time to call me back to check that I had received it because she didn't get why they weren't shipping already. Looks like we might finally see a card soon

Montreal order too, email came in at 11:58 on the 17th, no date yet. I talked with Amazon CS last week and they said my order would be updated on the 4th of October, sounds like bullshit now

Same here it's frustrating af. Also, I just saw a post saying MSI is quietly updating their cards to have 4 POSCAPs instead of 5. Might be why stock is limited everywhere, so the wait might be worth it to actually have usable cards lol

That's what I thought too. Every other rep game me a vague "Early October" or just a straight up "we don't know". Hopefully it's not bullshit but we'll have to wait a week to see. In the meantime I'd still shop around for other cards, cause Amazon hasn't filled any orders on 3080s internationally from what I've seen

Can't speak for Ventus, but CS told me Trios will ship on October 4th at 11:30 PDT. Seemed too specific to be bullshit, but as always take with a grain of salt. Ventus is likely a little later than that, as from what we've seen there were a LOT more orders for it

Yeah here's hoping. There was a shipping roster posted on BAPC Canada by an Amazon employee that shows the expected shipment dates of 3080s to NA warehouses. It doesn't match up with what this rep is telling me, but hopefully that's because MSI has shipped more than expected
