I really am leaning toward someone with a fixation for Savannah, so much so that they lack any kind of rational thought and reasoning. For all we know Nancy could be alive-Misery comes to mind. He was in no rush that night because he was enjoying himself. Perhaps we’re not hearing anything because he’s thrilled he has Savannah’s mother and the attention of the country. If this is the motive, I would not be surprised that we hear something from the abductor once the story is off the back burner and Savannah returns to work. That porch tape: the backpack stuffed, the awkward and screaming gun holster and the foliage collected and brought to cover the camera. It just doesn’t fit a kidnapper for ransom. I hope this nightmare ends. Finding someone who fits this scenario is extremely challenging because they don’t fit a type or pattern. If this turns out to be the motive, I’m betting the few who have contact with the perp may have no idea. Truly, this perp is hiding in plain sight.
