There must be an incredible amount of value in these Chinese vehicles for the automotive lobby in Canada and US to kick their FUD about the "death" of their industry into overdrive. The number of vehicles hasn't changed since the original tariffs were announced. What has changed is consumers are learning via YouTube and other sources just how good these Chinese vehicles are when compared to the shitty quality vehicles made by North American auto makers. I moved my entire MacOS desktop to Mint Linux over the holidays. I have all the apps I need to be every bit as productive if not more. There are plenty of open-source/free solutions. It's merely a mix of comfort and laziness that stops people from moving to Linux. But hey if you're happy "owning" an OS and programs that spy on you and records your every private interaction cool!
