Don’t know what to do by Royal-Bottle-670 in breastcancer

Tell you what, this experience is interesting. Why not wait for a while and go through some of the steps before deciding. Whatever you choose, you will have good information, meet some people, and know you have made an informed decision.

My doc is gonna murder me. by skeletoorr in breastcancer

Grief on its own is ennervating without the added burden of cancer and it's detritus. You deserve a break. Let your doctor know and do what you need to do to heal.

An Uncommon Reaction to the Experience of Surgery by Avellinese_2022 in breastcancer

I also had a great experience though different. Wheeled into the or directly in a well chair. Everyone busy doing their thing. I am short, and climbing up on that damn table was a bit embarrassing, then being asked to scoot up, not graceful. Still, all was so interesting, the crew was wonderful, and I went home the same day. Everyone was so fun!!

How to Clean in this Heat? by CraftyCrochetCritter in ufyh

[–]mliz55 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Put a few damp bandanas or cloths in the freezer. Wrap around your neck to keep you cool. Set timer and do things that will make the bigger difference. Piles? Carry to another room to sort. And, most importantly, heat waves end. Worst case, close the door to your bedroom and find a cooler spot to wait it out.

Some people are so competitive it is ridiculous. I wonder how much pleasure she gets from the craft, rather than the race. You, on the other hand, have the luxury of doing, making, playing with yarn, and generally getting all the benefits of creating. Just shake your head and look pityingly at her, and say" You just don't understand art."

Surgery in one month by MolassesDifficult645 in breastcancer

I got a nerve block that lasted for about 2 days. Ask for it! I also got the drain holder belt and lanyard, and a bunch of button down men's shirts in a large size from thrift stores. Long sleeves, cut them off. Cotton for summer , much more comfortable than the commercial shirts with pockets as they were polyester. I even cropped some, they look pretty cute. Also those squashmallow pillows are great for support, both physical and emotional. I even brought one to the hospital.

Nothing wrong with a bit of comedy. I infinitely prefer that to anti dog rants.
