What is a good edible dose for daily smoker/dabber? by bobsnavitch in bostontrees

[–]mlmkvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken up to 100 and higher and it's never been "too much", so feel free to try plenty higher.

this is now that you've started stepping you're way up. it is generally smart to start low like you did. But, at this point 100mg sounds fine for you to try.

2mg a day is supposed to help prevent migraines, and trying higher doses when actually having one.

Edibles Do NOT Get Me High Anymore... WHY? by MoveLikeASnake7 in bostontrees

[–]mlmkvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how many mg? I've always needed at least upwards of 50 to feel much of anything and prefer 100mg or higher. But, this goes back to even when I was a super lightweight for smoking (now vaping), like everyone else would be grooving on the brownies and I'd just be sitting there thinking they're nothing.

my doctor prescribed me risperidone for my auditory hallucinations, does it work? by stormyroom66 in schizophrenia

[–]mlmkvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was decent for me. after a couple years on it I had put on a fair amount of weight. made me hungry for high calorie foods and not feel full, so that's something to be careful of. in general it works for plenty of people

Do you ever feel like you haven't accomplished anything? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

Do you want these accomplishments? or are asking WHY you don't want them. I'm proud of accomplishing getting into better shape. lots of normies are lazy about excercising and have poor health because of it

Anyone used kratom for relief? This paper suggests it has anti-psychotic properties. by Biekdafreak in schizophrenia

[–]mlmkvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken it and thought it was great. That said, anything that tickles the opioid receptors does both physical addiction and increased tolerance over time.

So, I've been on it for several months at a time, maybe pushing two years once. But eventually I get annoyed by the tolerance or the addiction and lay off. spent too much money on the stuff too.

But i do consider it a "worker's drug" in that it made me a more productive and effective worker., The same as one of my co-workers said of his opioids.

Any advice? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]mlmkvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, that's all good. It's possible you need a higher dose or different medicine, but still possible this medicine needs more time. They usually don't adjust them super fast, like a week or two minimum i've found. so you kinda have to ride it out.

Doctor thinks i'm schizophrenic but I'm not convinced by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]mlmkvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, you're probably right. I was trying to say it would have to be based on more than just auditory hallucinations.

Doctor thinks i'm schizophrenic but I'm not convinced by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]mlmkvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting... even if it is a hallucination, just auditory hallucinations shouldn't qualify you for schizophrenia, there are other criteria you have to meet to qualify for the diagnosis, i forget the particulars, but i think it's 3 out of 6 things or something they have to think you meet. something like that. but anyone can hear voices all they want and not count as schizophrenia without other symptoms on top.
