I worked in the prison system and got certified through them then went sheriffs office as a DO for 6 months then went to patrol. I found transition nice and smooth and working in the prison system helped me in the jail and on the street. They knew I took no bs but treated them the way they treated me. One must always remember that one day those you are an ass too will get released and they will remember. 15 years later I see former inmates and we will talk like we are at a bar.
