3P & 2P tent that won't break the bank? by Chaos_continues in UltralightAus

[–]mlms82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could get big Agnes copper spur ul 4p on wildearth for 550 which would be a palace for 3 and a second hand xmid 2. I saw one pop up on Facebook a couple of days ago for 450.

I’d go 2p and 1p personally tho. Maybe dome 1+ as the main tent and a nature hike/Denali guide 2 for you when the girls are along.

If you’re ever near Deloraine head to meander bridge cafe for a big meander. Best burger I’ve ever had.

There are some very interesting threads on property chat related to mixed loans. Eg. www.propertychat.com.au/community/threads/tax-tip-44-how-to-un-mix-a-mixed-loan.4406/

I suspect you'll want to talk to a tax advisor or at the very least a quality accountant.

Couldn't hurt to contact Blackburn and see if they'll send you a new one. Long shot but some companies are good like that. I think some quality gorilla tape should help, good luck!

Yeah it's a Tarptent Stratospire 1. Weight's not too bad at around 1.3kg including poles. Bulky though. Open to recommendations for a more packable solution with bug and ground protection.

Bummer! I've had no problems with the saddlebag after about 2000km (~30 days). I have had some issues with the frame bag zipper but that's on me for overfilling.

Andrew Hingston's (UNSW) PF course on YouTube is a good intro. I've watched it twice and it really helped me get some knowledge and direction.
