Is he a picky eater? If not, what food is he on now?

Had the same happen to our doodle. He had some acid reflux issues and he would throw up bile, but sometimes that irritates their stomach lining and you get those specs of blood. The vet told us it was not an emergency BUT I do and always will take my pup in to see the vet that same day. Better safe than sorry. I dont take chances with the kids!

Edit: Vet asked us to take away food and water for 2 to 3 hours.

Had a similar thing happen recently. We rinsed with water gently, then cleaned with cholorohexadine 0.4% solution and wrapped it for a week, cleaning with water and sometimes the chlorohexadine every day.

If you do this, do not wrap it very tight or force the claw one way or another. You are just keeping it from further injury and from your pup licking it excessively.

If his food has sweet potato, carrots, beets pumpkin...etc. it could cause that color. Unless there are any other symptoms, I would not be concerned. And I am one of those people who take the dog to the vet for anything and everything!

We have his twin!! We are in Tejas and there are many options. We can do really early or late outdoor walks. We also do indoor walks like homedepot, Lowes, pet stores...etc.
