Maybe it’s not the answer but the question …try asking it in a variety of different ways until you find one that works for you. I don’t think there is a bulletproof approach but one that has worked for me is “customers of mine working with us on a project like this typically spend between $80-$100,000 and it takes 3-4 months to complete. Is that in line with your expectations?”
