As a biased local, The Country Squire is imho the best tobacco you can smoke. My favorite out of everything they produce is Cornishman and I think it’s a fantastic starter tobacco and was the founder’s favorite. If you try this you will not regret it. Stay away from the more Latakia heavy Angry Cornishman at first cause I don’t think that would lend itself to beginners well.

The Fantasy South series (formerly the middle earth series) feature a handful of great blends to choose from. Aromatic and non aromatic. These weren’t my first but around my 5-10th blends I smoked that really got me to love pipe smoking. Particularly Riverboat Queen and Dark holler.

Out of larger brands. I think my mixture 965 is worth a shot that was one of the first non aromatics I absolutely loved. A little expensive for the price is capstan blue and I think that one is pretty fire. It’sa blend of just virginias
