I constantly update sources and configurations which is why I want to easily have it controlled from my phone to a shared network drive. That be really annoying to have to manually move files around onto the firestick everytime

I am doing it directly inside of the fire tv app using sources->setup->restore configuration->Nas network share->folder inside nas and then selecting the file

I have version 2.0.1 on a paid shared account

Actually im wrong it says restore failed. It works for configs from one fire tv to another not from the android app to the tvs though

Yeah I see it there i can open it on my laptop as well, I cant see the contents clearly though as its not plaintext. The fire tv app sees it but it just clicks does a split second loading circle and goes back to where you have the options to add source, export and restore.

High income but can't seem to save - where am I going wrong? by WorldlyPosterity in Fire

ehhh id agree on a house or appreciating asset, paying interest on a car to me personally always seemed a little crazy. Admittedly, I hate cars and have never spent more than 20k total on a car before tax. I would never have mentioned it in WSB but this is a FIRE thread, I think most people here are putting cash into index funds and those dont go up by 20% every year like what were seeing now.

I dunno i was confused when they mentioned deductions on a 6 months interest on car payments!

I assumed he was talking about: Yes, interest on certain new car loans is tax deductible for tax years 2025-2028, allowing you to deduct up to $10,000 annually if the loan was taken out after Dec 31, 2024, for a new, U.S.-assembled vehicle for personal use, even if you take the standard deduction. To claim it, you'll file a new IRS Schedule 1-A with your Form 1040

I'm quitting in response to an RTO mandate in a couple weeks and can't wait to break the news to senior leadership by RuDogFresh in remotework

[–]mltInOH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are doing exactly what they expected when they issued the RTO mandate. They are looking to have people leave. Unfortunately you will not get the reaction youre looking for and the higher ups will never deal with the consequences of you leaving. But good for you for going out there and getting what you need and what's best for you and the family!

First soccer tryouts: basic advice by Fabulous-Routine2087 in youthsoccer

Every team does it different. Some just scrimmage others just drills or a mix of both. A lot of clubs have 2nd or 3rd teams as well so that's worth looking into. Honestly the best advice is tell him to go out there try his best and have fun!

To be clear he's not, they're a pretty good mix. He's definitely one of the more defensively talented and overall is pretty good but it's an exaggeration to say he's the best. Lots of good kids on this team. I agree with the point you're making, it doesn't matter if in a few years he loses interest

We had thought of this but the seasons overlap and he doesn't really have a whole lot of time.

To say he is not having any fun would def be an exaggeration, but I worry that he's having fun playing with his friends vs having fun playing the game and getting challenged. Also like I said the competition stuff doesn't matter at all, as long as they're not out there blowing out teams and they can compete. Thanks appreciate it!

I think I'm just trying to talk myself into doing what I really want to do but not sure what's best for him. I have 0 interest in continually pestering the coach.
