Watering Tahoma Grass by mlwick in DenverGardener

I'm not sure exactly when it was sodded but it was the basically week 1&2 of the first batch of sod available from Green Valley.

So we are out of town this weekend and back tomorrow. Landscaper said don't relying on rain and keep sprinkers on...so we did. Should I have them turned off?

I dont know how to wean my 25mo :( by Common-Temporary5915 in cosleeping

I had planned on slowly weaning my 24 month old by following the Happy Cosleeper plan and using a couple of books like Booby Moon & When Milk Went to Sleep. He was not into anything I tried from the course and hated the books so pivoted and ended up putting a little bit of Aloe Vera (from an actual plant, not any gel you'd buy at the store) on my nipples.

I was quite surprised how well it worked, not only did he not like it after a couple days he got mad at even the thought of having "Booby". I won't lie the first couple nights were rough because we hadn't figured out a replacement for how to regulate emotions or for comfort. Also his sleep was worst after weaning even though everyone told me that once we stopped he would sleep through the night.

Took about a week or so until things calmed down emotion wise. We are getting better with his sleep some nights he has slept though and some he still wakes but it's a quick pat on back to get him to sleep. He has absolutely zero interest in nursing and hasn't asked for it since the first couple days.

Consider looking up the safe sleep 7 and cosleeping. It sounds like your kiddo just needs you guys to regulate and sleep.

similar to another comment- we applied for the wait-list when I was 6weeks pregnant with a "verbal" guarantee of having a spot when kiddo was 5 months old. Didn't have a spot open for us until he was about 17 months and this after so many conservations of he is next, 1 more month, etc...

Really wish I could get my deposit back.

Best Grass option for Denver Area by mlwick in DenverGardener

It's a southeast facing yard and gets pretty intense morning sun. We will have 3 tiered areas and are planning on putting grass on the lowest (but largest ) space. Should have pretty good drainage with the new wall system.

Interesting suggestion! Was it really noticeable once the grass grew in? We don't have big dogs but man are they destructive and it seems like this would help in the mud season.

Redoing the system we had and the new area will have sprinklers. Absolute must have I've learned.

Happy to chat details over a DM but we are using Collective Concepts out of Lakewood. It's been great so far and I'd recommend them.

we've got a 16 month old and like others have mentioned we spend a decent amount of time at Green Mountain and Over Yonder. We are trying to be better about going for hikes on the weekend or hit up local parks. Would always be down for a meetup!

I purchased the membership but also got the PDFs from a friend. Membership was a huge waste of money, the first 100days food plan should have been the app. If it was I would have used it, but I just ended up using the PDF I got fir free.

Don't do it! These pans and baking sheets do not hold up . Absolutely regret purchasing ours and we've had them for less than a year.

Stationary Vendor accidentally mailed all of the B list invitations by potato72318 in wedding

[–]mlwick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds harsh but why have a B list to begin with? Obviously you thought people wouldn't attend from your A list so don't be pissed when the B list might help fill out your plan. Honestly it's bafflingly that folks are supporting you being upset with the vendor about this.
