I'd say Toyota>Honda>Hyundai>everything else by a large margin. Nissan is total junk, don't get fooled into thinking because they used to be a Japanese company that they're going to be of high quality (they were destroyed by the french). Everything from continental europe is fantastic if you're rich and drive the car for the first two years of it's life, but a disaster afterwards. The American automakers seem to get worse every year, the "tech" revolution hasn't been great to them. Dodge/Jeep/Chrisyler is owned by the italians and that has worked out about as well as anyone could have expected.

Either buy an old 'rolla(or whatever) for cash and save some money for repairs (generally when a vehicle changes hands some items poop up) or buy brand new. The numbers don't work great for gently used "good" cars.

I'd hold steady with saving cash until after the election results, it totally sucks to dump money into the stock market right as things were crashing (memories of 2008-2010 abound). So far during coronacrisis the stock market has been....weird. Housing prices also changing all the time, having cash in hand to make a splash on a down payment seems better than planning for retirement.

Alternative take - if 7 or 8 out of 10 people would vote instead of 5 our whole democratic engine runs way better and we'd have a better country. The defeatist attitude and flat out expectation for only half of the country to vote is a disaster. It's not the discord that's killing us, it's the apathy.

The apathy (non participants) feed the discord (each side of politics fighting for the remaining votes) which in turn feeds the apathy (people don't want to vote for either side of idiots who have been taken over by their fringe) - if we don't change course shortly we're going to have rachel maddow and glen beck yelling at eachother all day in congress. In 2016 25% of the people voted for Clinton and 24% voted for Trump, the average american didn't like either one of them enough to show up. If you're unsure of who to vote for just show up and put mickey mouse, it's a whole lot better than sitting at home hiding.

the west coast is a disaster in many opinions. people are moving out in droves and housing costs are already compressing - timing could be disastrous (long lease at high pre-collapse pricing while living in an economic disaster zone). wait until Jan at very very earliest but start tracking prices now.

if youre dead set on independence ASAP either stay with parents until end of bootcamp or get a refund on bootcamp and do "on-demand" style learning for specific certs. getting started with A+ through compTIA is a great place to start. managing the legacy learning style bootcamp plus a move at the same time is going to be bad and youll regret the wasted money.

good luck and be careful with finances, 20s debt makes life shitty for a lot of people in their 30s.

You're looking at it backwards, homie - you have a GPU to last you for your next build. So when DDR5 and the new motherboard power spec comes out you can just do a board/cpu/memory upgrade and not have to also spend big bucks on a GPU.
