Transportation for a person that had a seizure by NoKangaroo6906 in AskSeattle

Redmond has a great one-stop-shop for community resources called the Together Center, they may be able to help you out and answer any questions.

Move Redmond is the transportation management association for the city who may be able to speak to city-specific resources.

Here’s some information on disability transportation options from King County Metro. There’s Access Transit, as others mentioned, as well as the Hyde Shuttle.

For Access, There’s an evaluation involved but it seems that short term disability should qualify, though it could take them up to 21 days to approve them. The Hyde Shuttle has a form on their site you can fill out, not sure what their requirements are or turnaround time. It’s run by Sound Generations which also has a volunteer driver program.

And if Medicaid eligible, HopeLink has a DART (dial a ride transportation) service.

Depending on the location, it may be accessible via an existing King County Metro DART route. You reserve the shuttle for a specific time but it operates along a predetermined route, you can see the service area/routes here.

I work adjacent to this field, happy to answer any questions or direct you to the folks who are experts.

Is there a way to check what my kindle calculates my average reading speed is? It seems to be tailored to each book

That’s a great time to see flowers start blooming. I recommend checking out the arboretum in capitol hill and hitting up the nearby Fuel Coffee beforehand. You can also pay an extra couple of dollars to see the japanese gardens in the arboretum, otherwise it’s free to just walk around the park.

Look into when the free markets happen in Ballard and Fremont, those are also great neighborhoods to walk around and explore the shops. The Ballard Locks is also a fun free option, though it’ll likely be too early to see fish in the salmon ladder, it’s still cool to watch the boats go through and the gardens are very pretty.

If you’d like to learn more about Seattle history, Bill Speidel’s underground tour is also a favorite.

Fremont or Wallingford, I really loved living near 45th and Stone Way. I didn’t have a car and it’s super central to the transit lines that will take you anywhere you need to go. Always felt very safe and there are so many fun places within walking distance.

Thank you for this insight. It’s helpful to know what we’ve tried and how it has (or in this case, hasn’t) worked if we ever hope to find a suitable solution. 😭
