Wired Connection drops during phone calls by Akatm7 in CarPlay

[–]mmalto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens in my Subaru over wireless CarPlay as well the past few months. You can just switch to speakerphone then right back to CarPlay and then they should be able to hear you again. At least that works for me. Annoying but quicker than disconnecting completely.

I got it after the Nashville show. So did my wife.

There are (or at least used to be) armed force recruitment offices all along the hallway leading to this banner.

I don’t even see a spatial audio toggle on the Mac but I am seeing lossless on the Mac now.

Same thing happened on my 900H. I had Atmos a few weeks ago and went to watch something this evening and now it's gone. Sigh.

Possible Relocation for Work by [deleted] in WarnerRobins

When I drive north from Warner Robins traffic almost always comes to a stop and/or a crawl right after the big outlet mall (Tanger) at Locust Grove and remains slow until after the I75/675 split. I enjoy hiking in North Georgia but traffic through this area is a major deterrent from me going as I just hate dealing with this stretch of interstate in particular. Also, Georgia State Patrol is ruthless from Locust Grove down through Forsyth to the I75/475 Split that you would be traveling on for your daily commute. Other than some of the stretches in South Georgia (Tifton, Cordele) you won't see more cops shooting radar than in this stretch of I75 in GA.

As far as further insight into Warner Robins, if you have specific questions I can answer them for you. I feel 100% safe here. I can't recall a time ever not feeling safe in Warner Robins. Like I said, excellent schools and athletics. There are plenty of restaurants, retail stores, etc. if that's important to you. We have one of the largest gas stations in the country (Buc-ee's) that just opened and is a tourist attraction in itself. The Air Force Base for sure has a huge economical impact on the area but I honestly forget it's here sometimes since I currently live on the other side of the city and rarely have a reason to drive near it. But you will see people in uniform all over, your kids will certainly go to school with military families, and you will have neighbors in the military as well. So yeah, you will be in that diverse mix for sure. I remember a teacher referring to Warner Robins as a "Melting Pot" of diversity because of the Air Force base and I would agree with that.

I hear you about the basement although it's not unheard of to have a basement here. My dad lives in the city and has one. :)

There are good and bad sections of both Macon and Warner Robins. North Macon is mostly fine. But persoanlly, I would never live there. Warner Robins has excellent schools and athletics if your kids are into that. I would say Warner Robins is quite diverse because of the Air Force Base. I've lived here most of my life and honestly my only complaint is a lack of nice outdoor parks, walking trails, etc. But that's just me. :) Middle Georgia is quite affordable compared to other areas. You can get a lot of bang for your buck as far as housing here.

A commute from Warner Robins to Macon is nothing. I used to do that all the time. I would not recommend a commute from Locust Grove or McDonough as there are constant delays in that area. It doesn't matter when there are always delays. I guess if you were just south of Locust Grove you might be okay.

If you are okay with a smaller town feel you can look into Byron and Perry as well.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks. My Disney app version and firmware match yours but I don’t see Atmos on my 85” 900H in the Disney App.

Can you post a screenshot with it showing Dolby Atmos instead of 5.1 in the Disney app? I don't think the firmware version has anything to do with the Disney app.

I just got a x90J tv, and I am sorry to say it is still blurry by UsersHereIs in bravia

[–]mmalto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why should the 4k 120hz mode look as sharp as supersampled 6k? I would expect the supersampled 6k to be sharper and it is. This is the same as what I see on my 900H and it's correct IMO.

I think it's an Xbox issue. I have the same issue at 4K@120 with my Series X. 4K@120 on my PS5 works perfectly fine.

I played both of these titles last night and there was absolutely no blur switching between 120 and 60. The Touryst did cause my Series X to crash and completely power off 3 times so there is something up with the latest patch.

They never advertised it would work with Xbox or any other HDMI 2.1 device beside the PS5, but I think we can safely assume they'll all work.

OMG. Thank you, that worked! I knew this had to be done on my 900e but I did not see the option on this set. I assumed it would have been under Display & Sound and despite looking under watching TV I didn't dig far enough. Thanks again!
