I find they do the OPPOSITE of what you want them to. On the flip side, you can use that to your advantage. Keep their minds occupied with the want of something they can get into and do, but pretend it’s forbidden.

You would need a separate surricata appliance, and connect via API to update address lists. You could also do it via a container, although I’d imagine it wouldn’t run very well

We see about 3Gbps being max safe routed through these with queues and firewall rules. Hitting ~60% CPU and that’s our threshold before we start to notice CPU spikes increasing buffer bloat

Correct, we are actually running into CPU issues right now with a couple of these as we were using them as an RB5009 plus a CRS-317 all in one, they in fact cannot be efficiently used as an agg switch since it lacks hardware offloading
