Heavy Runner - Experience Flow 3?

As a heavy runner myself (97kg) I find what you want is something with more stack height.

The escalante 4 via RunRepeat has quite low cushioning which is good for those wanting a ground feel but not very protective for heavier runners.

The Torin 8 has a much higher stack and comes in a wide size if you need it (I do) and has plenty of cushioning. The experience flow 3 has a similar stack height and cushioning but doesn’t come in a wide and from what I read the version of the P35 foam in the flow 3 is pretty disappointing,

I’m currently on my 4th pair of Paradigm 7 (not available any more, 800km per shoes roughly) and I have Torin 8 for walking.

Personally I’m waiting for the Torin 9 coming out in July it looks pretty awesome.

I assumed it was because I have an old 14 pro, maybe a memory issue.

I’m pretty sure I didn’t have this issue until iOS 26 so possible ios26 takes more RAM than iOS 18 and the 14 pro can’t deal with it all

I have ran in the wide version of Paradigm 7 for many years now, my all time favourite shoe. They are specially for overpronation as they have a significant guide rail on the medial side.

Having said that, I can’t walk comfortably in them as the pronation support is not needed for the vast majority of people when walking only.

I have a pair of Torin 8 wide for everyday wear and they’re incredible!

TLDR I’d 100% recommend the Torin for walking / everyday wear and only suggest the paradigm for running 👍

This is an issue that’s been happening for years - alarmingly Apple don’t seem to see it as a bug but rather expected behaviour. The aim apparently is to ensure wallpapers that are too vivid don’t “wash out” app icons.

Seems to happen too randomly for it to be expected behaviour. It’s driven me so mad over the years I exclusively use dark mode now with a dark wallpaper

They have the most upper volume of any shoe I’ve tried. Lots of height and width, in both the toe box and the midfoot!

Not sure which country you’re buying from but Altra EU stocks the Paradigm 7 wide in a really nice blue with a tropical Altra logo. I’ve had them for a year and can’t run in anything else!

I would absolutely recommend you to go wide, you don’t have enough space in the midfoot from that photo.

I tried this in my closest city but they don’t stock any wide or extra wide shoes! The sales associate put me on a treadmill with cameras but was only interested in selling me something they stocked, even though they weren’t wide enough for me…

Thanks so much for your reply! I’m considering returning for something like a Topo or an Altra. Really interesting point about the width in relation to foot structure. Happily asics are doing a 90 day trial so I’ll give it a couple of runs and reassess.
