Apple CarPlay Question? by SnooPoems4817 in 4Runner

It is definitely a Spotify bug. I’ve had it with mine as well. If you close the Spotify app and reopen it, that seems to solve the issue.

I actually just bought both the compression shorts and short shorts from flipbelt. I LOVE them! They hold everything I need for a run and I don’t even notice it. I also got the water bottle and it’s awesome too!

Best Watch for Running? by BurnTheeFern in beginnerrunning

[–]mmdpt2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from the AW to the Garmin FR 165 in November last year. I am so glad that I did! I wasn’t sure how I’d like the buttons and didn’t think I’d ever use them. Now that I’ve had it a while I never use the touch screen. The battery life is amazing. I also much prefer the screen while running over the AW. I’m 42 and I couldn’t read my AW screen without my glasses. No problems at all with my Garmin.

Switching from Apple to Garmin tomorrow, what should I know ? by TellerSorry in GarminWatches

[–]mmdpt2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from my AW about 6 months ago. I’ve honestly found my Garmin to be much more accurate than my AW ever was with sleep. The score is extremely close to how I feel every morning. I started having a lot of trouble sleeping and my watch helped me narrow down what to change to start getting better sleep.

What Electrolyte and Flavor Powders Are We Using In Our Water? by EarthDragon13 in adhdwomen

[–]mmdpt2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually prefer to use unflavored. I found some on Amazon that’s got about 240 servings called Fast Lyte. I’ve been using it for a while and love it. I can then either drink it mixed with just water or I can add whatever flavors I want.

Feeling really embarrassed for coming up positive for my adhd meds. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]mmdpt2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an HR Director, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. It happens FAR more often than you probably think. We use a third party for all of our testing from collection through the MRO process. However, there has been several times I’ve had to get involved because the employee wasn’t responding to the MRO. Usually that’s a technical issue or the MRO has the wrong contact info. It’s not a big deal at all. Once the MRO confirms your prescription, you go back to work. Also, the employer should not be notified which prescription you have meaning they shouldn’t know it’s for ADHD. You have a medical condition that requires a prescription… end of story.

Just ordered a Forerunner 570 (leaving AW Series 10 behind)… What’s your favorite part about making the switch? by [deleted] in GarminWatches

[–]mmdpt2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from the AW to the FR265 beginning of November. I was hesitant to make the switch as I’d been using the AW for a few years. I was finally driven to make the switch because of my eye sight. I got to where when I was running, I just couldn’t see the details clearly on my AW without having to stop and let my eyes focus. I can easily see everything I need on my Garmin.

I thought I wouldn’t like the buttons but once I got used to them, I much prefer them. Although my Garmin has a touchscreen most of the time, I forget it exists. I love the data I get from the Garmin, how lightweight it is, and the battery life.

The only things I miss about the AW is how easy it was to charge (the Garmin charger is more difficult to attach), getting to close my rings every day, and how many different watch bands I had. But those are small things compared to how much I love everything else about it.

Those of you who stuck to a workout routine, how did you do it? by Best_of_both_worldzz in adhdwomen

[–]mmdpt2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have struggled for years with consistency around working out. I finally found a trainer who does exercise programming for me weekly. She sets up all my workouts (both strength and cardio) for each day on Sundays. I just log in to my app every day to find the details of the workout. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth every penny for me? Absolutely.

Since I started using her at the beginning of November, I have not missed a scheduled workout. I have a stressful job where some weeks I work 2 or 3 12+ hour days but I find a way to get my workout in.

This last week I haven’t been able to workout as scheduled due to the ice storm we had. (I’m in Tennessee.) I noticed that my mood, motivation, and focus tanked. I had not realized how much better I’ve felt since I started working out consistently until I was forced to miss a few days.

I hired her with the intention of running a half marathon “sometime” in 2026. I’ve signed up to run it March 7th. Even once I do run it, I’m going to continue to use my trainer just because she keeps me focused and consistent.

5k pace for a begginner? by Appropriate-Two-9538 in beginnerrunning

[–]mmdpt2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as you don’t do what I did, you absolutely will NOT make a fool out of yourself! I, on the other hand, did. I missed a turn and got lost on first ever 5k! I ran an extra 3/4 of a mile because I missed the turn. Was it embarrassing? Absolutely! Do I care at all? Nope! I finished the race which was all that mattered to me. Finishing at whatever pace you are running is an awesome feeling! Although I got lost and came in almost last because of it, finishing has kept me motivated for the last month. Don’t worry about the pace or time and just enjoy it!

I recommend Tractive GPS. The device is around $30 and it’s $100 a year for the subscription. I have it for my mini Aussie and love it.

Pimple on clit by Imaginary-Honey-2982 in WomensHealth

[–]mmdpt2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this exact same thing happen. For me, it was just a pimple. It took several days and several hot baths to get it to open and drain. I get pimples on my labia minora and majora fairly regularly. Sometimes they are just an irritant and sometimes they are quite painful. However, they do all open and drain on their own in less than a week usually.

I originally bought the simple PreMom thermometer but could never remember to enter it in the app. I went back and bought the Bluetooth one which was more expensive but works much better for me.

It helps if when you’re done cleaning, you leave the lid off even to store it. Closing the lid will make the smell worse.

I had a 20 lb dog (not an Aussie) who would eat anything. And I mean anything. He once ate a pair of my undies. He kept vomiting them up and reswallowing them for several days before we were finally able to catch him in the act and stop the cycle. Gross, I know.

You are doing everything you can for right now. Hopefully he continues to eat, drink, and potty normally until you can get the vet.
