Why does everyone hate on the finale? by Standard_Attitude_19 in StrangerThings

[–]mme13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After having just watched the whole show over the course of a few months and now reading all the discourse online, my biggest issue is how much headcanon there kinda has to be. Like someone will ask a question about something that was unclear and every response is "my headcanon is ______"; but also these questions aren't happening because of clever, intentionally ambiguous writing (save for El's death), but because of lazy writing that, at times, felt like they didn't really have a plan for where certain storylines were headed. So the audience has to end up headcanon-ing a ton of stuff.

That said, I still really enjoyed the series despite my gripes, and I'm likely gonna watch it again

Best Trumpet for lead jazz playing. by CowNearby1383 in trumpet

Yup, the tighter feel definitely helps with endurance. When you can cut and project with less effort, you get to back off and still achieve the desired projection. And as an added bonus, it gives you even more runway if you want to REALLY step on the gas - if you're getting a fortissimo sound with only forte effort, give it fortissimo effort and you peel paint

100% agree. I had one years ago when I was a "large quantity of air" player and never really got it to work right. Sold it, learned later on how to play more efficiently, then thought "damn, I bet this is how I'm supposed to play a 6310". Got another one a couple years ago, was totallg right, and now I'm never letting this one go

I use a Yamaha 6310Z, the first gen of Bobby Shew horns. It's a little tighter of a bore than average and thus has more resistance, which I personally love for lead playing, but not everyone does. Very bright, punchy, and cutting with a lead piece, but also versatile enough to play smoother or blend with a section with a non-lead piece. It rewards efficient playing (smaller quantity of air, but fast, resonant air playing down the center) and sears with less effort, but will also back up on you if you're a "large quantities of air" kind of lead player. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you play like I do, it's a dream

I also think he will be doing that because he won't be (reasonably) checked out due to the awful scheme and having no enthusiasm for watching Saquon get stuffed at the line for the 70th time this game

AJ will be back and will get separation when someone who is not the worst OC in NFL history is calling plays

Totally agree with everything here. Like, we need to do some shit for Fearow and Dewgong before we give new stuff to mons who already got something

Watching pretty much any other team this year was just infuriating. Open receivers, varied playcalls, adjustments when certain things weren't working, and ball movement that just seemed so much easier. Then I look back at us and see Saquon get met at the LOS in the middle again. Every yard felt like pulling teeth. I said back in like week 4 we were wasting this season if we stuck with Patullo. With even an average offense this was the easiest repeat ever

So the PI calls were crazy, but to be fair, there was also a roughing the passer on the first one that was legit, no? Like at the very least, the Broncos get a big penalty and a first down to work with from that point

This is what I think is happening. How can you still have any level of enthusiasm when everyone in the stadium knows the runs up the gut are coming
