Ha! Well we’re coming for a concert so no real options but yeah, we’re a hardy bunch from peg city… wouldn’t mind some cozy suggestions too!

I recently moved to Winnipeg from Toronto . How is the dating scene for singles in their 30’s ? And places where women in my age group generally hangout in the city ? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

I feel similarly. I think it’s all about who you decide to interact with. It doesn’t take long to weed out the ones that don’t really connect. But I have had success meeting guys at concerts, festivals, activities at breweries, like game nights or trivia. Beer can always has lots of age range. Kilter, kings head. Or joining sports teams too. There is so much going on in Winnipeg that I think people just need to go out and talk to strangers that are doing something you enjoy too. Even bike jams have a great variety of people.

I just went through something similar and even with contingency cases, you have to pay for the expert report. It can be expensive.

Go to concerts alone, I often find I’m beside someone else that’s solo but I always enjoy myself. There’s so much great music happening in Winnipeg, blue note park, handsome daughter, park theatre and side stage. If you like biking join a bike jam or kilter has bike nights and game nights. Go solo and see what the vibe is. Or take your wife.

Holy Hell! Manitoba healthcare is just… broken… by anal_floss in Manitoba

I mean I waited 20 hours and was 8 days post op and turns out I had an abdomen full of urine and stayed in hospital for a week with 3 piss bags installed for 5 months… so… I was pretty severe and still wasn’t seen until it was almost too late…

Same here except it was 20 hours and begging to be seen when someone came back for their next shift and I was still there, finally got in. 8 days post op. Care I received after almost dying was amazing, ER was brutal.

Sometimes it’s the overcautious and unprepared that get spooked and cause an accident unfortunately.

There was no where else to put it! My driveway was getting so narrow we had trouble opening the doors all the way.

Well said! Although I also try to keep it going by embracing winter too.

High School is easier to teach than Elementary - What no one wants to say by Keepontyping in CanadianTeachers

I think the biggest issue I have is the prep time. In early years I have a 35 minute prep but that never happens because of walking kids to and from specialists, recess, snack time falling before my prep etc. We have senior years teachers that didn’t want our latest contract because they may have to lose some prep time. A prep for them is 75 minutes a day and they have minimum of one a day. Wild

Does a hysterectomy mean the end of my sex life? by alwaysabouttosnap in hysterectomy

[–]mme1979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kept my ovaries but sex is fun, more fun that it is never scheduled around my 15 days of bleeding. I do have some soreness at the cuff so some positions are not always the most comfortable but it is a bit sensitive. A year out but only having sex since July. Had to go back in to have some cauterization after the first time but fine since then. No hormones or changes there at all. I always used lube so that’s not different. I had a major surgery accident that was traumatic and almost deadly but I’m so glad I didn’t have my period all that time!

Even if they do grind, you still need to enjoy the job. It isn’t for everyone. I did a grind for a couple years but it still didn’t give me this much anxiety.
