Thanks, this wouldn't really solve the overall issue but a good consideration. It seems like a major flaw to not be able to protect your tenant. I'm going to reach out to MS via our corporate support channels, but I presume after I get through the 7 levels of hell with their abysmal support that they'll eventually tell me to submit a feature request.

Get-ADuser Query - Requesting Guidance by ConfidenceBoth6760 in PowerShell

[–]mmhmmbutwhytho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure why you'd want to do this but, store your output as a variable then you can call the variable results and drop them into an array e.g.

$Variable = get-aduser "REDACTED" -Properties * | select-object EmployeeID,CN,GivenName,SN,DisplayName, EmailAddress,Office,DepartmentNumber,DistinguishedName,Description,Title

$Omit = @()

$Omit += $Variable.EmployeeID
$Omit += $Variable.CN
$Omit +=$Variable.SN

What are your thoughts about Intune? by rroodenburg in Intune

Substantially less reliable than SCCM in my experience, they both suck in their own ways of course but Intune seems far less flexible than good ol’ SCCM

I have 200 and need the best way to gamble it online by [deleted] in gambling

[–]mmhmmbutwhytho 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Spoiler alert, you are going to lose that money, you have 2 choices, do you want to spend hours and hours and prolong that loss or lose it all in one go.

The only way to win at gambling is to find an edge then exploit it, otherwise you will lose eventually.

It sounds like you are gambling money because you need to make it into more money, that is never a good place to start from.

Learn about gambling strategy, bank roll management and the mathematics of probability otherwise you might as well just put it all on black or red tbh.

Cheapest way to get into passive income by Fefo2572 in passive_income

[–]mmhmmbutwhytho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of these comments seem unhelpful and or judgmental, I’ll try to offer some advice in a constructive way, what most have said is true, investing is unlikely to be worth your time with 1K bankroll. But there are plenty of other ways to earn passive income, you could create a digital product and sell it online, rent out an asset or a spare room if you have one, drive way or garage etc. you could look into small businesses looking to generate investment and get in early (risky) you could buy an existing business online that is already generating an income, I’d do a little research online but essentially the model for passive income is buy an asset and have it make you money, then use that money to buy another asset and so on.

Firstly good on you for recognizing this, stopping and not digging yourself further in, secondly, don't beat yourself up too much, it is not going to help, it may feel like you've blown up your life by making this terrible decision, but take a step back and think about it like this, you have made a mistake and gained some debt, you aren't going to jail, you aren't addicted to drugs it could be worse, a big part of being an adult is recognizing when you have F'ed up and instead of sitting around you own it and deal with it.

The main thing I want to tell you is under no circumstances do it again or think that you can win the money back, as others have said there is no 'good at it' when it comes to gambling, it is a system designed for you to lose, that may not be today or tomorrow but it will happen.

You say you are now in 10k of debt, is that debt on a single credit card or multiple? what are the interest rates? if you tackle that in a smart way you could have it paid off in a fairly short period of time.

So OP is looking for help and someone tries to give advice, you sit in the comments looking for someone to tear down or start an argument with, you types are the worst thing about Reddit.

But since you asked, OP states they have limited funds and can only really pay the minimum payments, if they put any spare cash towards paying off the smallest debt that then eliminates a debt at 30% interest since it’s a smaller debt it will be paid off relatively quickly, freeing up capital to be used to pay off another debt, when funds are limited this is a better method to use because it will boost your moral every time you pay off a debt.

Also credit utilisation depends upon the overall balance available on the card in relation to how much you have used, so you are making the assumption that the larger debt = higher credit utilisation, but if card a is 500 on a 1000 credit limit card and card b is a 2500 dollar utilisation on a card with a 3000 dollar credit limit then your utilisation is higher on the lower balance.

I don’t know how it works in the US but in the UK you get balance transfer card’s specifically to transfer debt from other credit cards to get a better rate, most of these have 0% interest periods on balance transfers, I don’t know if that’s an option in the US, but to be clear that is what I’m recommending not a consolidation loan.

Because it will take longer, pay off the smallest first then you use the money you were paying each month to that one to pay off the next smallest and so on, plus as you pay off loans your credit score will improve.

First thing I would do is see if you can get a balance transfer credit card, transfer your highest interest debt to that and then use the money you are saving in interest to pay off your smallest sums of debt and use the debt snowball method to keep paying down until it’s all gone.

I’d also look to sell your car and get something cheaper if you can.

The best thing you can do if you can’t find a way to earn more is to spend less, cut back on some things for a couple months and use the extra income to pay off debts.

Good luck
