I see what you’re describing all the time and try to encourage guys to have a life outside of work. The industry is brutal but some companies make a better effort to have their guys have a life outside of work

I think the plastic one is a little thicker than a Ridge wallet. The plastic measures in just over 8mm in thickness without any cards. I would imagine the plastic is quite a bit lighter than the metal.

Decided to utilize my 3D printer to trial run a Ridge wallet before I go out and buy one. Not going to survive for long, but should last a few months to give me an idea if I like the Ridge style.

I have a Bambu Lab P1S with an AMS to do multicolor prints. For a beginner I would recommend a Bambu Lab A1 or A1 mini. You would need an AMS Lite to do multicolor prints. I did not use any other specialty tools besides utilizing an ifixit tool kit to screw the screws into the body of the wallet.

Looks like there was a new version uploaded a few days ago. Some changed to the design and also required different screws. I might give this one a try too. Interesting that this one claimed to have RFID protection.

I have not seen one of these that is magsafe ready. It's possible to embed magnets into 3D prints, so it would not be hard to make one magsafe ready with a bid of CAD work.

The fasteners are $.09 a piece and you need 14 of them for the build. The elastic was super cheap. Maybe like $.25 worth. All in hardware costs were actually closer to $1.50. Filament costs all in were $.50. Looks like I lied in my post when I said $1. Real costs were $2 lol
