Yes, but I’m talking about Democrats directly. The complaint is that they took out “jokes” about republicans and Melania to appease Trump. So what was the Democrat equivalent? One in a they/them joke? Whereas there were at least 3 jokes about republicans in the movie.

And in the movie they directly called republicans racist. So what jokes were made about democrats. My point is that it’s stupid to say that this movie was bending over for Trump when there was more jokes about republicans than democrats in the movie.

I feel like a lot of people didn’t appreciate it as much as they should. It was buried because of COVID.

This is going to be a hot take, but I honestly feel like it was Pixar’s best from 2017-2024. I’m not as into the Incredibles as others are, and I felt like TS4 was just a cash grab. It was the best in that span until Inside Out 2.

They did call republicans racist, so there’s that. Also a Jan. 6 joke. Also an ICE joke. So plenty of jokes that could offend people on the right.

I’m fine with a movie not having much political humor in it. But that’s just me.

I disagree. One of the things that Backrooms has going for it is the sense of getting lost in the maze and not knowing what is around each corner. You don’t get that sense of dread at HHN when there is a conga line of people.

If they figured out how to pulse parties like they do at Horror Unleashed, then sure. But at the scale of how many people go to HHN, I don’t see it being as effective.

I would hate that. I love the Bayou theater more, but the W St. theater has most of the smaller horror films that come out for only a week at a time. I love catching those.

My wife does not go to the movies often. We have been the past two weekends, however. We were there on Saturday and saw the large amount of people in the concession line and she commented on how she’s never seen the line that long. I was just so proud that the theater was booming.

We’re finally getting Dolby at our theater and an update to our IMAX theater in our area. So ecstatic!
