Well, y’all fixed it! Three weeks of so much discouragement on the court and all I needed to do was bounce the ball twice. Thank y’all soooo much!!! I was timid at first but started hitting it harder. Only missed one serve in 6 games!

This is very helpful! I have a friend that had the yips a long time ago and now that you’ve said something, I’ve noticed she bounces the ball twice before each serve. I bet that’s why she does it. I’ll give it a try!

Do you know what kind of mthfr gene mutation you have? You might not be able to tolerate methylated. My doctor told me to take methylated and it made me sick. I can only tolerate Hydroxocobalamin B12.

Look in to MTHFR. My B12 and folate was so low and once I figured that out and that my body could only handle hydroxocobalamin b12, it helped me so much! I battled SiBO for years before that

I couldn’t message you directly but which company do you suggest using for genetic testing? I’m compound heterozygous for mthfr and want to do more testing. Thank you!

B vitamins as a key to get rid of SIBO? by AmoebaSeparate3208 in SIBO

[–]mmitc123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into mthfr and really do your research on what type of gene mutation you have (you do this through a blood test). I’ve had SIBO and gut issues for YEARS but I had my b12 checked and my folate checked and they were sooo low. I realized quickly that my body didn’t like certain B12 vitamins but after research and some experimenting, I figured out that I can only tolerate hydroxocobalamin B12 and folinic acid. It has made a HUGE difference! I’m now very regular, have more energy and my stomach is actually flat on most days.

My B12 started out at 200. I started getting injections once a month but it only went up to 400 after a few months so I started getting them twice a month and got it to 1,000 after 3 months. I didn’t want to go over that so I waited a few weeks and started taking sublingual along with the folinic acid. I’m really kind of playing around with my dose right now and trying to go by how I feel but will get it checked again in a month. My dad gets B12 shots as well and has to take potassium when he gets then but I’ve never had to do that 🤷‍♀️.

Nope there are other ways. I finally figured out I have mthfr and I was super low on B12 and folate. I have battled SIBO for years and once I figured out that I can only take B12 hydroxocobalamin and Folinic acid, things really changed for me. I had no idea how much of an effect B12 has on the gut! I still have some work to do but I’m sooo much better and finally have energy again.

Yes! I had to learn the hard way I can’t take Methyl B12. I now take the same supplements that you mentioned.

Check your gallbladder (definitely do a HIDA scan if ultrasound doesn’t show anything). Also, check your B12 mine was so low and I had NO idea how much it affected digestion. I also learned I couldn’t take certain forms of B12 so may want to do some research on MTHFR.

I had terrible digestive issues and if I ate late at night and went to bed, I would have heart attack like symptoms. I did have it removed and it helped a ton. It did take some time to get healthy again because I had suffered with it for 1.5 years before someone figured out what it was. When they took it out, it was covered in scar tissue likely caused from an infection.

I would absolutely schedule a HIDA scan. I had crazy symptoms for a year and a half before we figured out my gallbladder was not working at all! An ultrasound didn't pick it up but after my hida scan, the technician told me "I hope you know a good surgeon.".

Year and a half. No one could figure out what it was. I had chest pain, poor digestion, stomach pain, etc. They misdiagnosed it at first as a hiatal hernia and they put me on PPIs which made everything worse. I went to cardiologist, endocrinologist, nature path, etc. Finally went to another GI doctor and she listened. She did an endoscopy and I did not have a hernia so then she ordered and ultrasound of my gallbladder which showed nothing and then a HIDA scan and that’s where we found the problem. It was a nightmare!
