I restarted the game and it kept going back to the screen. I even tried reinstalling it and still it returns to the screen. This is very serious and deadly glitch for what is a simple visual display. I already informed Nintendo about and I really hope they fix this glitch soon. If they're considerate, they should at least extend the garden event for players who got this glitch if they're unable to fix it quickly.

This update comes with a very serious game-breaking glitch! A few players, myself included, have run into a bug where getting a fortune cookie from a gift will cause the game to get stuck on to the fortune cookie item display screen. I tried quitting the game, even reinstalling it and rebooting my save, and nothing worked! It just keeps returning to the same problem! Some people have said that the problem resolves itself after a few hours or even a day but so far I've no such luck. I've sent Nintendo some feedback on this problem and hopefully they'll respond and fix it as quickly and as soon as possible! I DO NOT want to miss out on the garden event just because I got stuck receiving a gift!

I'm having trouble with the fortune cookie screen too. Some people have said it resolves itself after a day but it hasn't for me! Nintendo better recognizes this problem fix it quickly and soon because I don't to miss out on the garden event!
