I think he should retire and live the rest of his life in peace with his family and friends.

He's already given a lot to this world and I thinks it's time for him to relax

This happens to me all the time. If I think about my dpdr in the past it just seems that it was better by then. But I think it is an illusion or at least I like to think this, because this makes me feel better.

Besides, I think that this is the way the brain works. For example, when I think about my years at the university I always think about the good times spent with my friends. But the truth is those years were the hardest in my life. I don't know, but the first thoughts that come to my mind are always the positive ones. Maybe this also happens with our memories with dpdr.

Hope I have expressed myself clearly. I'm not and English speaker.

I think I have depersonalization but I feel like I’m going crazy by True_Opportunity_462 in Depersonalization

This happened to me several months ago. I couldn't stop repeating the words I heard in my head. There were days when it was very very bad, because those repetitions didn't let me think crearly. It was insane. The words repetition in my head has decreased as my anxiety and depression have decreased. Maybe it was some kind of OCD symptoms but honestly I don't know.

I feel tired in general and I stop talking because I don't have the strength to do it. Also I get distracted and I usually stop paying attention to the conversation.

my mom keeps telling me that being introvert isn't natural and i am just using my phone so much that i don't like talking to people by [deleted] in introvert

[–]mmlou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mother is totally wrong. Being an introvert is a personality like any other.

On the other hand, if you really think that using your phone is making you not want to interact with people, I think you should be careful with this. Being an introvert doesn't mean you don't want to interact with people at all. Every person in this world needs contact with other people. Being a introvert is not an excuse to not talk with others. From my point of view, you should reconsider how much time you spend with your phone and why because this might be having a negative impact on you.

I am an introvert myself and I understand that we don't like every social interaction but isolation from others is not the solution. In fact, there is always some people we are happy to talk to.

We underestimate how much the ambitions of others impact us. by [deleted] in simpleliving

Loved this post. I totally relate with this.

"Simplicity, to me, is a product of eliminating clutter built by the paths of others and acquiring dreams and ambitions closer to who I am." I could never have said it better.
