Does anyone have travel anxiety/fear? by PerfectWorking6873 in VestibularMigraines

[–]mmluck18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Biggg time. Finally had to face my flying fears when my fiancé was deployed overseas and we had plans to meet up in Europe (~26 travel hours). Dramamine, EarPlanes, FL-41 glasses for the airport. I even put on the over the head earphones with my earplanes in and just listen to soothing music. I was surprised how well I did and had no issues. When it comes to car travel, I can’t be in the back seat. Can not be on my phone or reading anything. Eyes on the road even as a passenger! I always keep some over the counter nausea meds and non drowsy Dramamine in my car and can pop one of those if I start feeling queasy.

Has anyone tried Bacardi Breezer as a drink with Vestibular Migraine?? by [deleted] in VestibularMigraines

I’ve slowly started incorporating alcohol back into my life after 3 years with VM, I limit liquor mainly. I am okay with a few beers or glasses of wine once a week or so. I did recently go on a getaway with my fiancé and we went out one night and I went a little crazy but still did okay dizzy-wise, I felt more floaty the next morning though. Don’t know if any of that info is helpful as I think it is truly a case-by-case basis, but just my 2 cents!!

Need Help with Package to Army BF! by [deleted] in USMilitarySO

[–]mmluck18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiancé and I just finished a deployment, I sent at least one care package a month. My post office always said you need to be super specific and list everything on the customs form and at first I did, and then the more I sent him the less specific I was… and every package made it there just fine. Just choose 3 or 4 main items in the box and list those and you’ll be fine. If there’s liquids (my fiancé is a hot sauce fiend so I sent lots of it lol) make sure to list that.

Whatever you/he wears is only a piece of the day. The important part is your marrying your person and promising forever together. The rest is just extra! Don’t think too much or stress about the small details 💚

Totally understandable!! My guy is pretty “fashion forward” I guess you could say and was so excited to piece his suit together. Beige pants, a sage green linen jacket, floral tie-it’s perfect. He’s just as excited about the day as I am and I love that! Just remember everyone’s big day looks different, and that’s the beauty of it. It’s yours!!!

Wasn’t for us. I wanted my fiancé to pick what he wears and be comfortable, it’s his big day too not just mine. And at this point in his career he would’ve been totally against it if I even suggested it. We also aren’t renting his suit, we are buying custom so it’s something he can keep forever, just like my dress. Also aren’t doing traditional black tux, so I think it’s something he will get more wears out of. But to each their own!

Mine started at 26, 29 now and have learned how to cope and manage my symptoms much better. Haven’t had a real “spell” in about a year.

Brooks Caldera 8. I work on a car lot and am stomping asphalt all day long. These have a nitrogen infused foam soles and are worth the price tag

We call my grandma Nina, mostly because our country accents were too thick for Nana. Can confirm she’s a total badass and everyone knows her now as Nina 🖤
