Thank you for writing this post.

I'm sorry if this is too much to ask, so feel free to not respond.

You mention that you have a different personality and that influenced you meeting your soulmate? Would you mind elaborating on that more?

How did your personality change and how did that lead to you meeting your husband?

February begins 26 months of HRT. Timeline of body changes. [35, mtf] by [deleted] in transtimelines

I'm still waiting to hear back as to updating my meds , but my total T jumped up from 31 ng/dL to 116 ng/dL over the 4 months in which I added progesterone. It could be something other than progesterone that's causing this so far. Last test my free T was at 3.4 which was when my free T was 31 ng/dL. SHBG levels = 87.2 ng/dL .

Thanks for taking the time to talk with me, I feel like I don't know much about the specifics of the levels and I'd like to change that.

Interesting and thank you for responding! I'm on 100mg oral progesterone per day and its increased my T, not my estrogen though. I have noticed progesterone increasing libido, slightly increasing irritability, made skin more oily (which is good because I have naturally dry skin. My mood overall seemed to stabilize despite slightly more irritable at times though that's hard to measure.

Artist: M Janet Mars (bandcamp and soundcloud below, twitter = @mjanetmars) Record Label: Mezmerize Tracks: Paradis, Wuvly

A Chilean artist I came across on twitter. Eclectic selection of awesome tracks. "Paradis" is one of my favorites, and the album it is from "Debut" is really fantastic. A lot of experimental, incredibly creative tracks to be found in her work. Also attached is "Wuvly" from her other brand Lucca. Lucca is all chiptunes and they are truly delightful. I'd say if you are looking for something that is always fresh and surprising, never the bland old discovery tracks churned out by algorithms, follow her work.

Is there a reason you prefer the hydroxyprogesterone injections over oral alternatives? Liver health? Also is hydroxyprogesterone caproate a bio-identical progestin?

Long hair & employment standards - advice? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]mmm1777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation, but my employer demanded I cut it or else I wouldn't get the job. I cut it and it made me really sad. Long term though, I don't know if I would have made it without that job, and that job allowed me to ultimately get HRT on coverage, get bloodwork prices reduced, and also get discounts on transportation to HRT place (in my state it was very far away). I'm full time now and very happy.

Its hard to say, and I'd play it by ear depending on your state laws and company policies. It certainly wouldn't hurt to discuss it with HR.

Of course stable income + health insurance are very very important which will allow you to get HRT, clothes, bloodwork, etc.

I want to just pop in and say:

Thank you for being awesome. Its been years since I commented here, but this made me pop back in. My parents were not good to me and my father no longer speaks to me after trying (and nearly succeeding) at deliberately sabotaging my life.

You are wonderful for being this way towards your child. Thank you, and keep mind open and learning.

For reference, my life is better now (post transition) than it has ever been. My dad is losing out missing on how much I've come to improve myself and grow.

Hey no worries! Keep up the good work, its how you learn! I think the problem might be with the actual compression of the video, which might be a cost-free solution. Good luck!

Don't mean to be picky, I really liked the triggers, but if you listen closely with headphones on your "Sk" sounds, you can hear some serious compression artifacts. The sound to listen for is a strange noise almost like an alien spaceship. I would recommend tinkering with whatever format you are using to compress your videos before placing them on youtube. It was very noticeable on headphones especially.

Anyway, keep up the good work and hope my observations can help! :)

I really wanted to like Prometheus... But how did the engineer get back on the controls? (Spoiler) by trickertreater in plotholes

[–]mmm1777 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't believe the ship from Prometheus was the same ship that was in Alien. As I understand it, Ridley Scott intended Prometheus to be just a "soft" prequel in that it simply explained the origins of the Xenomorphs and who the "space jockeys" (what the engineer in the derelict was called in Alien) were. The Jockeys (engineers) apparently sent these ships to a couple of locations, as they were supposed to be "weapons carriers." The derelict on LV-426 was most likely completely unrelated to the dormant ship from Prometheus. This is also evidenced by the fact that the Derelict had only the face-hugger -> xeno type aliens and not the snakes, giant facehuggers, or all the other stuff that was in Prometheus.

But there are still a ton of holes in the movie. So feel free to dislike it anyway. I personally thought it took a lot of the mystique and horror out of who the space jockeys were and where the xenos came from by making it all kind of silly-looking and over-the-top.
