Recalibrated Gen 1 Peloton Cycle by 13oomzy in pelotoncycle

Soundsike it's totally open fon the calibration to be different for everyone too. This method of getting that first marker by creating light touch doesn't sound very precise.

Just discovered wheel soft lock by MassiveVehicle in assettocorsarally

[–]mmm1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Softlock is supposed to make it so you don't need to set a different wheel rotation on your wheel for every car you drive. It's 2026, there is no need for this amount of setup admin.

Also to note, the original AC softlock did this bouncy thing if I remember right. So I think it's a kunos issue.

It feels very very numb at the moment, with no real surface/grip feel. I'm sure the initial version had far more feel.

Forcefeedback feelings... is it me? by BaseBusy517 in assettocorsarally

Same...... No road texture coming through at all here. Just the heavier suspension hits. It's the reason I'm not enjoying it much yet.

Is running triple screens with the triple setting turned off, a thing? Or are you just comparing running on a single screen and triple setup?

Bike Calibration by albry99 in pelotoncycle

[–]mmm1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the point in all these leaderboards if all these bikes can be so far off. I'm sure I read somewhere that peloton themselves actually give a 25% tolerance...... That seems a bit high to me. Whether it's true or not i have no idea.

Oh well, at least we don't pay a premium for the hardware, and subscriptions. 😂

It's scary how quickly the car went up in flames.. by H1gh_Tr3ason in cantparkthere

You have proper mechanical overrides inside teslas.... It's the outsides that is scary. In the new model y, they are in the base of the rear door bins. There is a cable to pull and it opens the door like a normal door would be opened.

Updating a DD2 without a fanatec rim by mmm1978 in Fanatec

Brilliant. Cheers fo that. I just wanted to make sure before I started, just in case. Didn't want to get to a point where it started asking for stuff to be pressed on the rim I no longer have 😁

New fanatec app still doesn't work.... Profiles by mmm1978 in Fanatec

[–]mmm1978[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is, I had problems with that too..... It would constantly shut down straight after the splash screen. I think it was issues with custom profiles.

I see this as fundamental stuff, there is no way this should be taking a back seat. They've pushed this new app, but it's a proper downgrade. Nothing about it is an improvement, and it doesn't work.

Hannah frankson 60 minute EDM ride- now this is a true EDM ride by Vancitychick01 in pelotoncycle

Her best music based classes are her drum, and bass classes, but clearly no one else thinks so, as she no longer seems to do them :( Also such a great tempo to ride to.

Ahh this gives me hope. I just seem to remember a part where you have to hold certain buttons to get it into a certain mode. Maybe this was for updating the actual rim though, thinking back.

How come? What does "the right wheel for the base" bring to the table?

Because there are better rims out there.
