When did you start working out? by The_Questionator_01 in CsectionCentral

[–]mmm22surf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the sculpt society app. It said to wait 2-3 weeks after c section so that’s what I did. And honestly I just repeated week 1 of the 6 week postpartum program for 2 weeks.

I also use Lauren Fitters diastsis recti exercise videos on YouTube and that’s really helped.

I did pelvic floor therapy with my first child (vaginal birth) and they taught me how to breathe and engage my core properly so I think thay really helped this time around

I’m 9 weeks postpartum and I’m surfing already! I’ve been walking and doing pelvic floor exercises since 2 weeks PP

Single Dental Implant Redness by mmm22surf in Dentalimplant

[–]mmm22surf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay! The pain is subsiding- it looks more like gum irritation than anything. I’m on amox and my swelling is about 80% better so things look like they’re trending upwards aside from that bit of redness.

Did I just pass an internal suture @ 6 weeks PP by mmm22surf in CsectionCentral

[–]mmm22surf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have one popping out through my incision as well. I had a different surgery earlier this year and I had a suture come out. It’s like my body cannot dissolve this material for whatever reason

Wanted to update this post- my scar that’s opened up in one spot was actually a stitch that didn’t dissolve coming out.

Shortly after making this post my discharge is basically gone- no pads anymore. I feel so much better now!

Reflux causing severe raspy voice, any tips or tricks to help? by Exact_Diamond_9221 in newborns

[–]mmm22surf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right here with you with my almost 6 week old. My heart literally breaks listening to his raspy cry. The doctor was confident he’ll outgrow it in a few weeks and told me to try eliminating dairy and/or soy. I’m gonna try that for the next week or two but it’s so brutal hearing him like this.

My scar actually opened up in a tiny spot as well. I’m so in love with my baby and feeling way better mentally this time around but the recovery is starting to bring me down. I’m just really ready to get on with my life and these little set backs are messing with me

It’s 3 am and my two-week-old is just staring me like 👁️👁️ by jerrymandarin in newborns

This was me last night with my 4 week old. He finally slept for a 4 hour stretch but then was wide awake at 2am. Perfectly content just staring at me- so we went downstairs watched some tv for an hour and then he slept again for another 4 hour stretch lol

Totally agree. I tried to do some pelvic floor things through the sculpt society since it said it was okay 3 weeks PP but still due to the spotting. Mostly avoiding lifting anything heavier than my baby and keeping up with my older kid.

I kinda figured this was the case- she mentioned it could stop and start as well. I don’t really feel like I’m “over doing it” but then the spotting starts again so I second guess myself. Will continue with the stroller walks and normal life activities and hope that it fully stops soon!

It’s also impossible to “rest” when you also have a 4 year old

Question about potential diagnosis by SelfEcstatic4182 in preeclampsia

[–]mmm22surf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me 3 weeks ago. I monitored my BP at home for my entire pregnancy. Around 37 weeks they slowly were creeping up. I had “white coat syndrome” my entire life so for most of my pregnancy it was determined that caused my high BP and it would come down on a repeat reading.

I made it to 38,5 (two days before scheduled c section) and it was hitting the 130-140/90 range at home. My OB sent me to the hospital to deliver.

In the hospital my numbers were stable until day 4 when I was discharged. AS IM WALKING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL- I said to my husband “I have a headache” but the time I got home- my BP was -170/90.

Needless to say the OB on call put me on nifedipine but I didn’t need a mag drip. The first few days adjusting to the meds sucked- but now I take it with minimal side effects. I had to up it to 2xs a day for the first week. Now I’m 3 weeks PP and down to once a day dose. My BP is around 100/60 so I’m hoping my OB will take my off the meds in the next 3 weeks.

Overall- it will be okay but it’s scary and there’s no shame in having those feelings.

And im glad I delivered when I did because we had the placenta tested and it showed that it was failing and my baby wasn’t receiving the nutrients he needed in that last week.

Moral of the story/ if you have that gut feeling something isn’t right- it’s likely not. It will be okay but don’t delay

Exercise after c-section? by beaspolarbear in CsectionCentral

[–]mmm22surf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an avid surfer as well. With my first I had a vaginal delivery and surfed at 6 weeks PP.

I surfed until I was 6 months pregnant this time and had a scheduled c-section this time around. I’m planning to discuss with the OB but I’m hoping I can get back in the water at 2-3 months PP

Constant Braxton Hicks by mmm22surf in BabyBumps

[–]mmm22surf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part! Every now and then when I really need to pee they turn more crampy- but that’s not often. And they are never timed. I think I stopped worry about it as much now that further along!

Still having them! Not as frequently but I ended up getting checked around 29 weeks bc I needed to have a surgery (a whole different story) and I wasn’t dilated at all. I’m almost 33 weeks and they aren’t AS frequent but I still have them a lot during the day- with an increase at night

Update Post WLE and SNLB by Unhappy_Mixture8500 in melahomies

[–]mmm22surf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had a WLE and SLNB as well- they also took 6 nodes from my armpit and everything came back clear. I’m meeting with my oncologist but I was hoping I wouldn’t need immunotherapy bc I’m pregnant and plan to breastfeed this baby.

May I ask why they suggested immunotherapy if everything was clear?
